Anselm Kiefer Hardcover – December 2, 2014

Great book, especially for the price. I would have liked to see more photos that place his monumental works in context so the sheer size (and mass) can be appreciated. But overall, you definitely get a tad more that what you pay for with this one. A good full-color survey.

Fabulous book! Large, quality reproductions and plenty of them! No interfering text once you get through it at the first part of the book.

Loved it!!!

Gorgeous book. Large full colour plates, rich colours. The book is about a foot square. First 65 pages are text and image (3 major essays, biographical, historical references, interpretive material etc). The next 157 pages are full page full colour catalogue plates, no big blank wasted spaces or filler graphic design. Since the show was a major retrospective, the book provides a great survey of Kiefer's work. Highly recommend it for both visual and text content.

I'm a big fan of Kiefer and the colour in these reproductions is very true and also gives a good sense of the textures in his work.
