## Questions & Answers

**Q: Id like to use 2 motors as well as several servos for a raspberry pi3 robot project.  do i need a servo controller in addition to this motor driver?**
A: A servo needs only 1 signal, DC positive and Ground (Orange, Red, Black).  You can use the prototyping space available on this board to make several servo headers (3-pin male header) by wiring the signal pin from one of the unused GPIO pins as the signal pin for one servo, another unused GPIO pin as signal for second servo, and so on.  You need to supply enough power to drive the motors and the servos.

**Q: Will the software for this work with Ubuntu 22.04?**
A: Operating system doesn't affect this at all.  It depends on the hardware and how it's connected. If you're sitting it on top of a Raspberry Pi, you'll have to find a code library or write it yourself to interface with it. There's no "software" that comes with it.

**Q: After receiving the item, is any soldering required?**
A: I have not used the HAT, but have the stepper motor. With most breadboards and connections like this, you can just use a wire plug in a tighten the screw. Not always a good connection. Soldering makes a tighter connection if used in robots or things that move. If not non-solder techniques are OK. Some type of connectors are still best. Hope this helps.

**Q: Does this work with a raspberry pi 3?**
A: I've been using this board for about a year and it works perfectly for all motorized pi projects.
