It leaves my hair super conditioned and super moisturized. Since using this product, I have cut my deep conditioning time down from two hours to just 30 minutes. It takes care of the "frizzies " and split ends as well, since my hair is never dry but moist and well conditioned. I am African american with 4c/4b hair type. This product is very affordable and does what it says. The lanolin that is compounded with petrolatum also a natural product, as it comes from the earth is truly none sticky or gummy. It's very soft which is a natural characteristic of lanolin and will leave your hair extremely soft. Lanolin is derived from boiling sheep wool and floats to the top of the boil and is scooped off. This is called "dross" or lanolin which helps maintains the softness and "fluffyiness " of sheep wool. Lanolin is not a fat but an ester of fatty acids and adheres very well to water, a plus for achieving maximum hydration for your hair.
