Never a Let Down
I have liked Chonda Pierce for many years and enjoy going to her concerts. Her books are written as if she is sitting right there with you. Her openness and her honesty as to how life happens is so on point. She suffers, cries, laughs, and has hopes just like you and me. She however, has a close relationship with God that helps us the readers to search for the same type of relationship with God. I think everyone should read her books, especiall the Laughing in the Dark a story of how she beat depression.

Life is a Journey and Chonda counts the Roadkill
Chonda keeps it real and in telling her stories of being On the Road she lets us know we are not alone... We've all encountered bumps and sometimes even canyons on the journey... The secret is to share the Road with family and friends who love us where we are on the way to where we're going...

Just What I Needed
It fit right into my life at the moment. I would recommend this book to my sisters and anyone else with a job and family they are trying to lead in the paths of righteousness.

Not the most engaging book I've ever read.
This book does have it's amusing parts, but it is not a story that flows. It's made up of little tidbits here and there. The good thing is the chapters are short and you can put it down for long periods and when you pick it back up you can just move on.I prefer books that I can't wait to get back to.

Funny.
Chonda Pierce is just hilarious. She's real. And most importantly she loves the Lord. This book tells her stories from the road when she's on tour. I enjoyed reading it & I felt like I could hear her talking. She writes the way she speaks so it was very easy to read.

Roadkill Not As Funny As Comedian Herself on DVD
It's a great little book of Chonda Pierce's many adventures but not a book that will have you laughing till your teeth hurt. It's more like a bio of Chonda's traveling adventures on the road. Makes for a good read on a rainy day without the intensity of a complicated novel or deep biography. Very light reading.
