LIFE SAVER!!! Seriously!
Let me start off with saying I have always gotten poison ivy since a child. It was so common the pediatrician would just call me in a steroid. It always spreads and it’s super itchy! I’ve had it twice this WINTER already! The first time I had to get a steroid and an antibiotic and even that didn’t help it go away quickly! When I got it again I thought I’d would give this a try because the Zanfel is at least $40 and there’s NEVER enough to last more than a few days. I honestly didn’t see a lot of improvement with it anyway. It was starting to spread so I took a chance on this! I figured since it had a scrubbing side it would feel similar to Zanfel but last longer. I was wrong! It’s WAY BETTER THAN ZANFEL!!! I used it as directed and within 24 hours, it was NOT spreading any further, AND it stopped the itching which was waking me up at night! The rash is fading quickly! I’ve used the bar of soap once one Monday and just twice a day after that. A few of the days I put Bentonite clay (Indian healing clay) on a cotton ball and dabbed on top of the soap to honestly dry it a little quicker and it also dries it up and pairs well with the soap! The poison ivy is almost gone and it’s only been less than 5 days! That has never happened to me before! Way better than anything I’ve ever used and I have tried EVERYTHING! It’s a smaller bar but it goes a long way! I will be stocking up for summer time! Thank you for making this!!

Provided instant relief! AMAZING!
I have always been very sensitive to poison ivy and if there’s one thing I can’t stand it’s itching. My husband and I went to the Florida Keys recently and we visited Everglades National Park. Little did I know about poison ivy’s nasty southern cousin, Poisonwood. I must have touched it, because at first I thought it was a bug bite, so I scratched it a bit and the next thing I knew it was spread all over my right arm. For five days I suffered with it, spreading it from one place to another and even visited the emergency room in Florida because I couldn’t stand the itching anymore. They provided me steroids in a topical cream, but it did nothing to relieve the itching. Out of desperation, I ordered the Marie Originals Poison Ivy and Oak Soap after reading several very good reviews. Most people said it worked instantly and they were right! Nothing else worked for me except for the soap. I had been on the steroid for four days, Benadryl and the topical ointment they gave me with no relief, but this did the trick. My favorite part about the soap is that one side is smooth where you create a lather and the other side has a bit of an exfoliate in the form of oatmeal. The oatmeal isn’t course enough to break the skin, but it’s just course enough to give you a little bit of relief from the itching. You let it dry on your skin and it does wonders. I can’t go on enough about this product. If you have sensitive skin like me and you are prone to getting things like this, get it! I’m now going to be taking a bar with me anytime I travel.

Stops the spread wonderfully
This product really helped stopped the spread of poison ivy/ oak when we and our pup were covered in it for weeks this past summer. However, I had to take a bath with the bar in the tub and apply liberal cortisone cream in order to relieve the itching. I would give 5 stars on how effective this product is on preventing the spread, but settled on 4 stars because it didn’t completely alleviate the post-exposure symptoms after several uses.

Struggling with a rash from poison oak or poison ivy, MAKE SURE TO BUY THIS!
If you are susceptible to getting a rash from poison ivy or poison oak, I highly recommend you have a bar (or two) of this soap available in your home. I volunteer with the California State Parks and am frequently working in areas with poison oak. After volunteering recently, I suspected I may have been in contact with poison oak and stopped for some Tecnu Extreme scrub. This helped me avoid the rash outbreak I had had last year but wasn't preventing some additional bumps and new areas to pop up. After a week of failing to forestall a spreading rash, I ordered a bar of Maries based upon a comment of another volunteer. The bar arrived the next day and after the first day of washing with the soap, the continuing spread of my rash stopped and the raw, erupting patches on my wrists quickly started to dissipate. Washing with Marie's also greatly reduced any itching I was having. In my case, it took about 5 days the areas to be close to normal and about a full week for the rash to clear, but remember, I started about a week after having been exposed to the oils from the poison oak.I'll be bringing a bar with me each time I volunteer now so I can stop at a restroom and wash my arms in a sink before I even return home. And I think I'll always have a spare bar in the house, just in case.

Doesn't work for me. I tried it on my rash
I tried the soap on my rash. It has been more than a few days and symptoms worsened. I wouldn't recommend to use it once your rash erupts. Use after you come into contact with the urishiol from Poison ivy/oak plants. Before the rash appears. Exfoliating it may make it worse. Each person skin sensitivity varies.
