A perfect solution!
This 60-watt bulb is excellent -- blocks glare while adequately illuminating a closet-size space (a toilet room, and by the way, I highly recommend separate rooms instead of bathrooms with everything in one room). It has a bare-bulb ceiling fixture that's not amenable to shade-type covers and looks horrible with a plain bulb in it. This bulb is attractive enough for this purpose, and I'm glad I found and bought it.

These are beautiful, I really liked them in my bathroom
These are beautiful, I really liked them in my bathroom. Unfortunately, they weren't quite bright enough for the spot we wanted them for, so we had to put the regular bulbs back in. I am looking for another spot to put them in the house because I love the way they look and the soft light they give off.

Nice
Great for our hanging pendant lights above our kitchen counter. The previous bulbs were blinding people. These give off great light but don't shine in your eyes.

Nice for overhead lighting
We installed this in one of those Tiffany-style light fixtures that hangs from the ceiling at eye level over our kitchen bar. Using a regular bare bulb meant that it would make some people feel like they were being interrogated. The silver-crowned bulb still lights the room well, but eliminates the glare.

Do not buy! Emits toxic fumes!
We have used silver bowl bulbs for our dining table lighting for 20 years. This one looked great, and I used it for a long period of time as I worked at the table one night. It emitted a chemical smell that was very disagreeable. I've had some disturbing symptoms. After a week, and the smell continued, I've removed the bulb. I would like to send them back, but I threw away the packaging. The one I the other lamp hasn't been used at all. Do not buy these!

love the lighting
This made our above-the-dining-room-table light fixture go from too bright to just perfect! I wish I would have bought this two years ago. It took the excessive glare and made the lighting perfect for my sensitive eyes. Thank you!
