I bought two of these to add engraved plates for two ladies who helped make my Wedding a success. The boxes were beautiful. Very nice size for a small keepsake box. They both loved them! The locking mechanism was tricky but I wasn’t so much worried about that. These were beautiful, well received gifts!

I bought this as a replacement for a different brand I purchased previously on Amazon. This one was by far more Superior and elegantly put together. It's a great product and a great price. The lock seems to be a you know standard lock for a little box like this. I would definitely buy from this company again.

As some others have noted, this is simply a wooden box, not a piece of fine woodworking craftsmanship (features simply butt joints, wood and finish could have been sanded better, etc.), but in my case, the top and bottom sections lined up nicely, and the box will serve its intended purpose very nicely. If I need another box of similar size, I would consider buying this again.

At first I thought the key did not work.But then I figured out what I was doing wrong. I think I am just stupid. Any way very great box! Color is great. Wood is great. I love this box. It would make a great gift!

Just received today after waiting for a week. The finish is not very nice and feels sticky. There are small but noticeable nail holes everywhere around the edges and joints. The lid doesn't close neatly. The lock is very hard and every time I try to open or close I feel like I'm about to break the lock with my hands. The bottom is not evenly painted, unfinished, and very rough. In fact, the same for inside the box as well. It's very sandy with sharp edges everywhere and low-quality craftsmanship using cheap wood. It'll damage any table or countertop surface you put on. Not worth the price and worse than a high school project. There're better products out there.

The box is nice, good size and decent construction but if you are looking for something that has a decent lock on it keep looking. The lock & key are cheap, not well made, the key fits into the lock about once every four times I tried and it's just a weird locking apparatus as well. So if you are looking for a small wood box this fits the bill. If you intend to use the lock I would look at other products.

Got this for the GF to put her little items in it. We have two puppies who like to eat everything. The are let outside using a door in our bedroom. On their way out, they like to pick up little items like hair combs, brushes, eye glasses, Apple Watch and or charger. Most of these items belong to the GF so I got this box for her birthday. Since, I have had no issues with the puppies although they do grab her slippers occasionally, but those are easy to find in the grass.

One of the things I really didn’t like was that the corners were sharp & pointy and not rounded! then the locking matter was difficult, loud to open and close & did not unlock & open smoothly.. the wood color looks nice and the size is good but the presentation overall is not impressive .. looks cheap and is overpriced at $39.. Also!! The way it came in the mail - it came in a Chinese written brown shipping box - give the item better presentation, make the box thicker & more attractive -When I opened the box, the item had very minimal protection of just one small bubble wrap envelope which definitely is not enough protection -make the presentation look more attractive, secure, well-built and the price needs to be lower than its listed for
