I had the dreaded intermittent AC failure on my 2007 Honda Odyssey. I've also had a long term parasitic draw that could be related that I have been unable to track down. I took it to the mechanic; the system was low on charge with a leak at the Schrader valves.Valves replaced, system charged, and the compressor would still not stay on. I came in as the mechanic (very good and honest guy) was scratching his head and diagnosing the wiring to the compressor and asked, "do you think it could be the relay?" He swapped the relay to the compressor with a jumper and the compressor kicked right on. He swapped a known good relay in and the problem was solved.I bought the ES 193 so that I can save time and effort by quickly checking the relay myself in the future. Is it cheap, no, but neither is AC diagnosis and repair. Is it quick and easy to check myself (I'm handy and can lookup how to bench test a relay, but I want easy right now), absolutely yes. I checked all the remaining relays (five in total) in about 3 minutes; they all passed (the suspect one failed but it does have a small hole in the side from me pulling it out with a pair of hose pliers to replace it with a new relay after we had already diagnosed it as probably bad).

This kit does a decent job however there are a lot of relays that I have run into that are not testable with this kit. Mostly it has been on 4 pin relays with oversized pins on 30 and 87. When I've had a relay that fits, the kit works beautifully. It will expose relays that work intermittently or ones that check ok without load. Much more reliable diagnosis than jumper leads and an ohm meter.

Great little kit to test 12 and 24 volt relays yeah there are other ways you could test relays with a volt meter but this is much easier just put relay in correct slot connect to your car battery hit the button ! It tells you if relay is good and gives a trouble code if it’s not a good relay I also got the relay pliers to remove hard to get your hands in tight spaces relays and I also got the additional relay adapter for larger relays that test for cooling fans that does not come with this kit but should be included in it again there are other ways to test relays but this kit makes it quick and simple

I've already used this a lot more than I thought I would. Actually found a couple bad relays with it. It's an expensive kit, and not exactly necessary, but it's a lot easier to check relays with this than the combo of multimeter and power probe that I used before.

This is an amazing tool and a is must to have in your tool box for 12/24v electrical diagnostic. I had it for several months and used it many times, works as it should every time. I regret not buying it years ago. Strongly recommend.

This save a lot of time and the tool works great. Great for preventing maintenance as well and saving money troubleshooting electrical issues.
