Bring On The Music - Live at The Capitol Theatre [Blu-ray] [2019]

Well presented blu ray that clearly shows the unique experience of a Govt Mule concert.Shows what a gifted musician Warren Haynes is. Excellent value for money and exceptional sound quality

Let’s begin with the fact that I am huge Gov’t Mule fan. I was therefore shocked when the trackThe Man I Want To Be came crashing out of my Paradigm speakers driven by a Denon amp DISTORTED. My immediate reaction was to take the blu ray disc and put it on my other system. Lo and behold I got the same problem. The distortion is on the bottom end and is not slight….it actually shakes the speaker cones in a bad way. Check sound at 43:20, it is terrible. Have I got a badly pressed disc and why has nobody else noticed this. Virtually all of the remaing tracks seem fine from what I can gather. The pcm sound is twice as loud as the DTS and True Surround sound which I found a little odd.. Can anyone shed some light.

Great concert blu-ray ruined by interviews between songs. The concert would be 4 or 5 stars but the interviews ruin it as a concert experience and I gave up after the third interview interruption at 55 minutes in. I'd never have bought it if I'd known but this was not mentioned in the description or indeed anywhere on the cover of the disc itself. I've now returned the disc to Amazon (superb customer service as always) for a full refund. I'll probably buy the CD version but as I've already got 60 hours of CD Mule it can wait awhile. There are several excellent Mule concert DVDs out there so why the first blu-ray they make gets the interview treatment I'll never know. In future, unless you've made a documentary, please keep the interviews as bonus material where they belong!

I first saw Gov’t Mule in ’97 and have been a fan since. Bought this blu ray to introduce my son and daughter to their music before we all saw them in concert in 2023. You can’t go wrong with The Mule whether it’s ’97, ‘23, or in between. This blu ray is excellent video and audio. Don’t hesitate!

Music fills the void like no other medicine, and this band just gets it done for me. I've been fortunate to see many of the best, including the Mule. Winning me over live in concert first many years ago, this performance brought back all the reasons why I experienced them then as great. Can't ask for more than that. Speaking also from the point of view of an audiophile, the sound and video quality is very good.
