Tegaderm transparent film dressing is a transparent film dressing used to cover and secure I.V. Sites to protect at-risk skin, or as a primary or secondary dressing over acute wounds, surgical sites and chronic wounds. Breathable, yet waterproof. All-in-one sterile dressing.

Review: Best idea if you have kids. Have different sizes on hand. - I love this product for skinned elbows; Open areas that get bumped repeatedly. Wash the wound and apply. It minimizes the pain and keeps the area clean. They can stay on a week if applied right and when removed the area is healed. I’ve used all sizes for hip scrapes, elbow, arm, knees. It conforms and stretches. I love the stuff and now it seems easier to buy different sizes, reasonably.
Review: An Excellent Transparent, Waterproof, & Breathable Film to cover wounds / wound dressings - These are just like the ones you get in the hospital (if you are unfortunate enough to have been there) - they work great. They are very flexible, easy to put on (it may take a couple of times to get really good), and seal perfectly to the skin to make a waterproof (blood proof) seal. Given how thin and flexible they are, they are very durable! Well worth the money if you need to cover a bandage or seal a wound so that it is waterproof. I take a shower with this on a wound, and there is absolutely no leakage in or out.

**Q: Does tegaderm work on sensitive skin, or might it tear the skin on removal?**
A: It works well on sensitive skin with no tearing.

**Q: Do they work for venous ulcers? How often do I need to change it? Thank you!**
A: I wouldn’t put it directly on the ulcer. Definitely have it covered with a gauze .  I changed my dressing every day so I could clean my port area

**Q: Will these work on a wound that measures 4X3? Not sure what the size in description means.**
A: It only covers a 4x3 area, with about 1/4 around edge, so I would say no,  you need to go a bit larger to accommodate 4x3 wound.

**Q: Does this cover an omnipod dash insulin pump?**
A: i used to also wear an Omnipod dash pump... but i didn't use the 3M dressing to hold on my pods with my PDM ... "Instead i use skintac & or mastisol" to hold my pods on my body. "I  would not suggest using this 3M transparent dressing with your Omnipod dash Pods because as you may or maynot know the PODS will need to be replaced every 3 days. & in that case you will go thru a supply of these dressings very rapidly & need to buy more sooner than later...skintac or masitisol  is much more beneficial & cost effective to use with your Dash... hope this helps...
