Excellent
Truly waterproof. Used on hot press (smooth or plate surface) watercolor paper. A good substitute for dip pen and ink. Dries quickly and will not run or fade when a watercolor wash is applied over it. Not as black as true India ink from a bottle, but close. And you can always add India ink as a final touch up. These pens have good tips that will outlast their ink capacity, which is not great. If you like them, buy them in bunches!

Very pleased
Purchased and one of the pens was dried out. I didn’t notice it until after the return date. I contacted the manufacturer anyway and they promptly replaced it. I appreciate the great service!

Exactly What I Wanted
I use these for outlining sketches that I want to watercolor. Beautiful, clean lines!

Good pens, but they can dry out fast
These pens are really nice, but one of the pens in the set (0.1) dried out about two weeks after I ordered.

Good flow of ink
The ink flows nicely on to the paper keeping up with the movement of my hand. Don't have to go over it. I also like the shape of it in my hand. Its relaxing and discourages me from holding it too close to the paper.

Would be great pens, if they all worked.
4 of the 5 pens worked great, fantastic flow of ink. The 0.1 was completely dried out before I even opened it, wouldn’t work no matter what I tried. This wouldn’t be much of an issue if it weren’t the pen I planned on using the most due to its fine tip. Pretty bummed to be honest, but at least the other pens work great! No other issues yet, though I am anticipating them drying up quickly due to how good the ink flow is (it’s really quite nice, but how long will that last?)Overall, I’m a *tad* disappointed because this is Windsor Newton, they are synonymous with fantastic brushes. I’m not sure if fine tip pens are a new venture for them, so I’m not holding it entirely against them, hopefully just growing pains in a new market. I sincerely hope they continue to improve because these could eventually become incredible fine-tips!

Love these pens
I have always used Pigma pens but wanted to give these a try. I love them. The nib is softer and has less of a scratchy quality than Pigma pens. Nice rich color and line. I haven't used them for a big project yet, but I'm confident they will perform well. I'm now hoping to get some in sepia and other colors.
