The Sea to Summit Ultra-Sil Nano Dry Sack is a featherlight dry storage and organizing option for mountaineering, climbing, alpine adventures, and minimalist pursuits. Manufactured from 15D Ultra-Sil nylon, its reinforced waterproof seams are double-stitched, and tape sealed, with reinforced stitching at stress points; 1,500mm waterhead (the higher the waterhead rating, the more waterproof the fabric). A secure hypalon roll-top closure keeps moisture out, and translucent fabric provides visibility of contents. The Sea to Summit Ultra-Sil Dry Sack’s low-profile, streamlined shape saves space, and its oval base resists rolling. A patent-pending field repair buckle can be replaced in seconds with a Phillips screwdriver. Recommended for use within a pack or duffle. Dry bag available in seven sizes: 1 liter, 2 liter, 4 liter, 8 liter, 13 liter, 20 liter, and 35 liter, to carry everything from small essentials to group gear. Sea to Summit products are guaranteed against defects in materials or workmanship for the lifetime of the product.

Possibly NOT Worth the money -- try the heavier?
EDIT again: StS has been very responsive regarding my issue with these. It appears that the 1,200mm head spec for these just may not be enough to keep sweat from being pushed into them in running use. Keep that in mind. You get nearly 2x the water resistance for a little more weight by using the non-Nano version, and even for a weight weenie, it's probably a better bet to try those.EDIT:I loved these at first. Light. pretty tough. Easy to use. But after about 10 uses, I notice a fairly substantial problem: THE ARE NOT ACTUALLY WATERPROOF. I use these to keep gear dry in my running backpack on long runs. My pack is mesh, so spare shirt, phone, wallet, etc., that stuff goes in these. However, the last 4 or 5 runs, I've had damp gear every time I've taken the stuff out of my bag. That includes only 1 actual run in rain. The other runs were on dry days and the only moisture getting into my pack was sweat wicking off my back into the mesh. But somehow, it gets into these bags. All of them (the 2 liter and 2x 1 liter bags that I've got).I am always careful to close them according to instructions, with at least 3 rolls before clasping. Today, as a test, I put less stuff in them and got 4 rolls on each before clasping them. I put them in my pack with the clasp side down in case it rained, the solid, taped-seam bottom would be facing the rain. It didn't rain. It got warm and sunny. I got sweaty. When I got home, I emptied the sack that had my spare shirts. Both felt damp. Not drenched, but damp. Wouldn't have been a killer for me, but damp after 2.5 hours of sweat exposure? Come on.Opened the bag with my wallet, phone, first aid kit. Drops of water inside. Wallet (leather) quite visibly wet. Phone greasy with moisture.I have no idea why these can't actually keep my stuff dry when they're exposed to just sweat or light rain, but I sure as heck wouldn't trust them in a real downpour. I'm hoping Sea to Summit will take them back or something. They're really a disappointment. When I pay $16-20 for a tiny ditty bag that's getting premium dough because it's supposed to be waterproof, it better actually be waterproof. These are not.

ultralight but also ultra short lived
just a little too thin to call this product waterproof for the real world. I use it is my ditty bag for backpacking, I dont keep anything sharp in it, dont abuse it, etc. after just a couple of trips it is not water proof. Honestly I think a ziploc sandwhich bag is more hard wearing than this bag. I have one of the more sturdy versions of this that I use for my first aid kit and that thing is perfect.

I couldn't believe how thin this was.
I bought a Feathered Friends Flicker UL 20 degrees down quilt for camping. I didn't notice that it came with its own stuff sack until I ordered this. I actually tried to cancel this order but I'm glad I was unable to because this stuff sack is much better. The material is strong, but almost rice paper thin. I have zero doubts it will keep sleeping bag dry should I ever get caught out in the rain while hiking or if I go river camping. If you count ounces, then these bags are the way to go.

$$$$ Pricey For the 13 Liter Dry Sack
Pricey at $23/ea for the 13 liter sack. The weight of it is light at 27 grams. However it is NOT MUCH lighter than other sacks of similar construction offered at a lower cost. It is waterproof and very good construction. Seams are sealed and double stitched. If saving weight is your goal, then you could easily pack one item less to reduce the overall weight of what is being carried. I recommend buying other nylon dry sacks which are nearly as good as this one but at substantially less cost.

Love this product!
Big fan of these waterproof dry bags!! Every family member in our family has a few in different sizes (8L, 4L and bathing-suit size - 2L are our favorites). Very convenient to take to the gym or for a beach trip/vacation. Bag dries quickly even after carrying soaking wet items and never got a damp smell or a leak (if closed properly)! I like the one with the vision panel more but this one fits the purpose. I love the color options so we can all have a different one. We have purchased our first one over 4 years ago and still performs as new. I wish the clip loop would be a bit longer to be able to hang the bag but not an issue. Love them, super practical and we never go on vacation without them!

All Time Favorite Stuff Sack!
Sea to Summit nailed it with this stuff sack! I have a few in different sizes, and use them for many things. The 1 liter sack holds my wool scarf, gloves, beanie, hanky, and balaclava for winter cycling. I stuff them in, and when I arrive at my destination I can pack it down really small and keep it with me. They are awesomely waterproof, as I use the sacks for all season hiking/trekking and camping. I've seen them dunked in the river without leaking, and they are very easy to seal. The buckle is good quality and the material flexes a lot without signs of tearing. I admittedly overstuf the Ultra-Sil sacks and have yet to damage them Outstanding product!

Performance justifies the cost
Keeps my gear organized and dry with the most minimal weight penalty in the business.I have four of these now and while pricey they have been absolutely worth it for my backpacking applications. Every time I go out on a hike I have total confidence these dry sacks will keep the dust and water out of my personal equipment. It's hard to put a price on comfort and convenience and since these dry sacks provide both I have yet to balk at the price. They are also surprisingly strong given how thin and lightweight they are.

Perfect protective stuff sack for a down backpacking quilt
I purchased this dry sack as a protective stuff sack for my Enlightened Equipment down quilt that I use for summer backpacking in the Sierra Nevada range. I wanted some extra insurance that the typical afternoon scattered thunderstorms wouldn't leave down quilt a useless lump of wet nylon and goose feathers. Yes I use a rain cover on my pack, but you never know what's going to happen and this ultra light stuff sack is almost free - weightwise. I used it on a section hike of the PCT SOBO from Lake Tahoe to Sonora Pass. Worked perfectly. Zero complaints. I'm going to get a smaller one for my down puffy.

light and watertight
It doesn't take up space or weight too much in your backpack, useful to store a sleeping bag but also clothes and other items.

naja

Erster Eindruck Hui, zweiter Eindruck Pfui
