This ashwaghanda is really good. I love it, however I know some people are really Picky ugh so I will say the taste is of tree bark, but what do u expect it comes from a tree, and it really relaxes you. I hope this good review does not cause the price to soar up ugh i wish companies stop doing that! I like this product it works for me.

This is awesome stuff . I have been takingAshwagandha for over 15 years but as an Extract . This stuff has lots of benefits and I began to notice the difference right away . As a person who have studied Herbology for over 20 years I think Ashwagandha is right up there with any variety of the Ginsengs , if not better !The first time I took Organic Veda in my morning Cereal I felt a rush to my Head .and a huge energy spike . This Herb is beneficial for Cognitive Function & increase output with workout Regimen .I love this Product & will order it again .I think this Company cares about its Product & it's from India , the Country that introduced us to this Root .The price is very reasonable & with 1/2 to 1 Teaspoon per Day will last for a while .Awesome Adaptogen !

I've been taking this for adrenal fatigue and auto-immune disease after several people (and articles I've seen) rave about Ashwaghanda.I purchased this brand because I wanted a powder and must say it works great. Really calming....not drowsy though but just calming as I'm in a great mood for no reason. I take 1/4 teaspoon in the morning and another 1/4 at night....night time is when it makes me drowsy and super relaxed.I was weary at first because I deal with chronic fatigue so the last thing I needed was something that would make me tired but it doesn't...it actually helps me feel more awake and alert.Last thing...no where near as anxious or irritable. Has really helped with mood swings. Think goodness!

I ordered this in February along with triphala and was getting ready to order again. I noticed that the made on date was from 2018 on both of these items and the label indicated that it would be good for 2-2.5 years after. This means that what I ordered was already TWO YEARS OLD when it was delivered. I wish I had paid more attention to this when I first got it.I have no doubt that this is a legit and quality product, so I am giving it 4 stars. I see that the packaging is different than it was in February, so perhaps I got caught in a dump of inventory to prepare for the new label.I am willing to give this brand a second chance the next time I need more herbs.

A fine product in a lousy can.I lost a lot of this upon finally getting it open. The container isn't a plastic or cardboard container akin to what oatmeal often times comes in. It is instead a metal can. One that is not at all easy to open. Unlike normal cans this one, at either end, does not fit a standard can opener. One features a very deep, recessed lip that a kitchen opener will not work with. This is the one that the label indicates, not by direction, but, orientation on the can to be the top. After wrestling repeatedly with it at that end, I flipped it over to find a similar problem in that the bottom is still too deep to be reached by any of the four openers I used. The pair I own nor the pair I borrowed worked. Not wishing to reach my hand inside a jagged edged can several times a day, I did not want to use a church key opener and recalled a friend of mine works at a university kitchen and stopped by. There, I found they have an industrial, floor standing opener. My friend, being the employee knew how to use it and promptly had the can open. However, thanks to how deep the lip is at either end found the can jamming on the bracket it used. In trying to free it, gently, it knocked over and spilled everywhere. I don't know how much I lost. But, I'm guessing that it's about half the product.Is this a good product? Yes. I uses Ashwagandha as a thyroid supplement due to a T3 deficiency and after a year of taking tablets of both this and a prescription have found that this augments the prescription very well. My hair is growing back. My nails are far better than they were and things are generally better and unlike most herbal supplements I do believe this to be a legitimate alternative for folks to use.This product is no different and is a great, cost effective means of taking this wonderful herb.It's just that the producer needs to package it in something of a better container than this. If for any reason I do see people hurting themselves in trying to pry it open and like me, spilling things all over the floor in the process.Having had it with that infernal can, I now keep it in a plastic container. One with an easy open lid.

The product is just what I was looking for. I am taking ashwaghanda to help me heal from a recent illness and to help my joints and tendons. It is a very fine powder, seems pure -- no sand or grit that I can detect. It is a very, very fine powder, so be careful not to breath it in, like if you are transferring some to a smaller container. I like that it is organic. The container has all the appropriate organic certification stamps/logos. I had taken a liquid extract of fresh ashwaghanda root that I got at a local market. At the dosage I was looking for (600-100 mg, twice daily). It would be too expensive to keep purchasing the fresh liquid. I went through the bottle in less than 10 days. This powder tastes just like the fresh liquid, so I feel confident that this product is indeed ashwaghanda root. I tasted the plain powder to check it out. I am taking 1/2 tsp, twice daily. It has not upset my stomach. It has a slightly bitter taste, so I am putting the powder in applesauce with other supplements I take, and add some ginger and cinnamon powders. I hate swallowing a lot of pills, so this is a great way to go. I also appreciate that the seller provided a product that was manufactured very recently, and does not expire for two more years -- not something that would soon reach the end of it's shelf life. I am very satisfied and will happily purchase again from this seller (Lords Organics and Natural Wellness).
