I wanted to see what it is about her writing that is so adored by her legions of fans. I confess, I remain puzzled.Even allowing for this being a novella, the plot was thin and characters especially shallow. I learned little about Derek, except that he drove a Porsche while being on the brink of closing his business. Meanwhile, Callie was a caricature, sporting a Dolly Parton figure, bizarre dress sense and a history of poor taste in men.My disappointment was sealed through the lack of quality control in the book; I have heard Ms. Andre claim to use multiple proofreaders, yet errors persisted here. The most memorable was in an early sex scene where our hero apparently felt the need for two condoms. Guy meets girl at wedding, they have passionate sex in a walk in refrigerator. He meets up with her the next day and have two more rounds of sex before he becomes her business consultant. He saves her business, they have more sex, she saves his dream business, more sex, lets get married.
