A library favorite we had to have
My 2 yr old granddaughter loves this so much that I returned the library copy we were wearing out and bought one for her.I have loved Eric Carole’s books for years, having read them to her dad and uncles when they were little. We have a number of his books and frequently take them out from the library. But this one is a real favorite

A must have
My son love caterpillars, we have some at home. He was able to recognize the one we have in our garden, and to look for some others than are native from Florida. He enjoyes reading it to everyone that comes to visit.

Ten Little Çaterpillars
Being a teacher I had not seen this book by Bill Martin. It is great, young children love his patterns and the illustrations are colorful but then it is Lois Ehlert . It is a wonderful precursor for young children to begin reading. Bought it for my granddaughter and after two readings she was reading it to her little brother. He loves looking at the pictures and being 13 months old, he babbles as he looks at it. This is how reading begins, my friends.

catching colors
The book, Ten Little Caterpillars, is fun for small children just catching on to the colors, not the animal. It has great appeal to young children, similar to Eric Carle's previous book with colors "Who are you?" Because the two books are similar with animals of different colors than normal they could be used together or separately. The size of the book is large and the illustrations are just as large. This is a book that calls for a child to page through by himself after being exposed to the text.

Love Lois!
I am an environmental educator and I frequently use books by Lois Elhert, this book was no different. The illustrations and real world science information was great! This book was also good for the younger ones who are working on counting as well.

Another winner!!
As a mother and (former) Kindergarten/Preschool teacher, Bill Martin Jr. and Lois Ehlert are amongst my favorite authors. This collaboration is a delight, with engaging pictures and snippets of information which both informs and encourages further investigation of a scientific "nature". This book is a wonderful addition to my "Favorite children's books" to read.

Adults love it as much as children
A must have book to cherish and pass down. If you check on the internet, there are many activities for this story/science book. Adults love it as much as children.
