Washcloth yarn, super sturdy
Colorfast, no bleeding when washed! Experimenting with different stitches to see how the colors lay out. I'm just making washcloths to hand out as Christmas gifts with pretty soap, so I'm not too worried about the color striping. It is tricky to color pool this yarn, I'm always off by just a bit when I aim for plaid. Still pleased with the product, good sturdy washcloth yarn, lots of yardage on the cone.

Buy it!
Bought this, sight unseen and fabric untouched, because I wanted to make some hand towels. The yarn is soft and very nice in my hand. It made the finished project seem higher end, and now I love working with it! It's highly durable and great for making functional pieces. I am using it to make a wearable piece, but just know that cotton does get heavy and stretch when wet!Overall, I would (and have) purchased again. It's such a great deal for the amount of yarn you get. I will be making projects with this one spool for years!

Durable, US-grown cotton yarn
I think Lily's Sugar 'n Cream all-cotton yarn is a workhorse in the kitchen. I crochet and knit with it to make hot pads, dish cloths, and dish towels. This is a worsted weight (#4) yarn and it knits or crochets to a dense fabric. I find the items shrink up when washed and dried. I use a little bleach on my dish cloths, and the color will fade a bit when I do. I prefer buying it in the cones for ease of use and just the greater amount of yarn; although it should be noted it is not necessarily knot free; in the Sage I came across a neat knot. Had I been making a dishcloth, I would have finished it before I came to it; it appeared about midway through my knitting a dish towel. The photo shows a folded dish towel I made with Woodland Trails and just beneath it is the dish towel in Sage. The greens do not match in the two towels but both are pretty. This yarn is soft enough to work but I know it washes up rather stiff without fabric softener. I do not recommend this for clothing and it would make a very heavy blanket so I really don't recommend it for that either unless that is what you want. But for household items: kitchen cloths, mats, hot pads, tote bags, maybe hats, etc. it is an excellent choice in cotton yarn. The Woodland Trails label said it was U.S. grown cotton and the yarn was made in Canada. For comparison I think Lion Brand 24/7 cotton (which I would use for garments instead of the Lily Sugar 'n Cream) is lighter in weight than the Sugar 'n Cream) even though both say they are #4. Both nice products, but for hearty or dense items, I think Lily Sugar 'n Cream is the best choice and a good value.

A bit thinner than Sugar n Cream
Not as thick as Sugar n Cream but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It depends on what you are making.

Yarn
Quality yarn the durability 100% cotton, the correct size, thickness, cleanliness of using 100% cotton being able to throw it in the washer throw it in the dryer. Easy to use to stitch with, not too stiff. Highly recommended for your craft projects. I've been crafting for 40 plus years and these are the yarns I use to make my crafts for my Etsy business.
