This ship is an amazing addition to any X-Wing Miniatures or Star Wars Model collection!
Finally we get to own and play the first ship we ever saw in the original Star Wars saga!First off, I can't figure out how they can mass produce ships like these! The model is beautifully detailed and fully playable in the X-Wing Miniatures Game. It's also an awesome display piece for my gaming room. It's not perfectly to scale with the other X-Wing ships, this is true, but it wouldn't be very playable if it had been, so they compromised to give us this amazing addition to the game! The ship comes with lots of bits and pieces, too. Some of the cards can even be used in the standard (IE not epic) games. The ship takes damage either to it's fore or aft sections, and is effectively still in the game until both sections have been destroyed. It has a primary weapon that also shoots further than anything else in the game! All told, this purchase has been a "no-brainer" for me personally. This ship is great eye candy, fun to play in the Epic Battles, and makes for a very nice "terrain piece" in standard games to mix things up a little. If you are looking to add some variety and spice to your games of X-Wing, you need this ship. If you collect Star Wars models, you need this ship! If you just want an amazing display piece for your den/man cave/ game room, etc - you need this ship!Trust me, yes it costs a bit more than the other X-Wing Miniatures ships/models do, but you get a lot for your money and Amazon has this available at an unbeatable price!

Surprisingly powerful boat, plus key X-Wings
The Rebel Transport is not to be underestimated, and the X-Wings that come with it are no pushovers, either. Plus, it includes new Astromech droids which change the game for the Y-Wings and new torpedoes that work well in starfighter combat.Let's start with the Rebel Transport. After playing a few games with it (including one 150-point game of 2 X-Wings & a 50-point Rebel Transport build vs. 150 points of TIE Bombers, Fighters, and the Lambda Shuttle, in which the 2 X-Wings and Rebel Transport prevailed), I'm tempted to call it overpowered. No guns? It doesn't need guns to wreck TIEs, and its support abilities, when augmented, can provide devastating disabilities on enemies fleets. It's surprisingly versatile, so there are different ways to build the transport to fight against small and large ships--against both dozens of small TIEs and powerful Firesprays.I'm hoping to play with it more in the future, as it's an impressive and tough ship.As for the new X-Wing pilots, getting Wes into your squadron is critical. Wes' ability is to be reckoned with; a Wes + Veteran & Wedge + Opportunist can wreck the board, and I expect we'll be seeing that duo a lot. The fletchette torpedoes pave the way for the future of stress tokens, as the Rebel Transport has the means to both inflict stress tokens and deal damage to ships who have stress, and with Wave 4 coming soon, I'm sure we'll see new methods of dealing with and exploiting stress. Finally, the astromechs. These astromechs bring some interesting diversity, but I'm not sure that we'll see all of them in tournaments. They create new ways of handling (and sharing) stress, new mechanics for regenerating shields, and allow Y-Wings and X-Wings like Biggs and Garvin to finally get some Elite Pilot upgrades (Biggs + Draw their Fire perhaps? And giving Garvin some Veteran Instincts would allow better use of that focus token he gives). This new expansion is a game-changer. Get your own, soon! I've had so much fun with this one that I may get another.

Great Ship, Just Not in the Current Meta
The B-Wing’s my favorite ship so it was an auto-buy when I started to play the X-Wing miniatures game. The mini itself is fantastic. The ship’s in its proper orientation, vertical. The paint job is surprisingly good for a $13 mini right to including a wash to make the details of the ship really pop. The ship comes with a stand and if there’s anything I’d criticize FFG for it's that the stands for their ships aren’t the best. The fit isn’t always tight and they loosen over time. That said that’s a universal criticism for all the X-Wing TMG minis not just the B-Wing. The ship itself comes with a good selection of upgrades and all the counters you’ll need to play the ship. The cardboard for the counters is heavy duty and durable. In six months of playing with the ship none of them are starting to wear in any significant way.Unfortunately the meta has left the B-Wing behind. It’s still a potent ship but it's not top tier anymore. While it can take a beating the ship’s lack of speed and maneuverability makes it difficult to get into good firing locations and in a meta heavy with Imp Aces that’s a death sentence.Overall a solid ship I’m glad I own even if it’s no longer super competitive.
