VallejoGame Ink Paint Set (8 Color) Paint

The sheer variety of available colors, textures, stains, and effects from Vallejo is amazing. The bottles may only be 0.8 ounces, but the coverage area & color saturation are equivalent to the larger 2-ounce bottles of craft paint. And when using an airbrush, only 8-10 drops + thinner is enough to get a good-sized reservoir of paint. Vallejo Air is already thinned to go straight from the bottle to the airbrush. For hobbyists who are perfectionists, they sell era-specific colors, like Revolutionary War colors, Civil War colors, and WWII American Forces, British Forces, & German Forces colors. They sell color packs for the different Rail Lines for HO hobbyists. It really takes the trial & error of searching for or mixing to get the correct color schemes. The only drawback with Vallejo is, regardless of whether you order it from Amazon, a vendor on eBay, or another online hobby store, one or more of the bottles will leak out in the package. I don't know why the lids aren't screwed on more tightly. With my first shipment, the blue leaked out in the package. Amazon was good enough to send me a replacement. Then the red leaked out in the replacement. So I switched out the blue & red to get a complete set. Even with the leak issue, I'm still a diehard fan of Vallejo & use it for all of my projects.

I paint miniatures (25-32mm scale). These are great on primed plastic and metal. Easy clean up and the dropper bottles are definitely the way to go. I use sepia and brown the most, but I've used every ink in the box.

Hard to find product, but well worth the price.

I was excited to get this product for my collection and upcoming projects. Unfortunately almost every color had leaked some. Due to caps not being closed all the way. The violet leaked the most causing the packaging to get stuck to the bottles and causing damage to the labels. If I wanted to buy damaged and wasted products I would buy it used from elsewhere for cheaper. This is a known issue from now looking at other reviews if I had known this I would have found this product locally to insure I am getting what I pay for. Now I have to clean a mess up before I can even use the product and re-label to know what’s in the bottles. The ink is self I would assume is fine but this is not the point here. I will be contacting Vallejo to make sure they are aware of this issue.

I was worried about leaks based on other people's reviews, but it seems like Vallejo has solved the problem. :-)

They're perfect, just be careful because you can really F@#$ up your models with these if you're not paying attention, but otherwise I love them. They work perfectly to tint colors and whatnot and they have WAY more saturation than a wash.

I bought these thinking they were the game paint line, I dont know what the "ink" line is... is it washes? or just paints? Who knows and they don't tell you lolso 1 star for now, I'll update it if I ever get around to opening any and seeing what they are.
