Bernard Jensen Liqui-Dulse Vitamin, 4 Fluid Ounce

I have periodic blood tests because of my age and my problem kidneys. This product gives my thyroid a clean bill of health when I take 7 drops faithfully every day. I neglected to take it for a week or two and went into the VA Health Care Clinic for another blood test and it was recommended I take a thyroid pill. My doctor had it sent to me but I never took it; I started back on the Liqui-Dulce and next blood test everything was fine. I'll opt for any natural med first before resorting to allopathic drugs

I find iodine essential, I notice a difference when I don't take it. ("I'm not a doctor", blah, blah, blah - disclaimer :) If you search for "iodine deficiency symptoms" you will find out if you need this or not. I do. I also used it to grow back bald spots (from stress at the time) that I was developing at the temples. I'm a woman so I was concerned. I knew I needed nutrients and this was one sign that inspired me to start taking better care of myself. My hair grows like a weed (almost to my waist, and it never used to grow before, I cut it a couple years ago and it was at my waist then too). As well, if your "inner core temperature" runs a little lower than average, this is a sign you need iodine. You will feel cold a lot, or always cold and need a sweater (man or woman) if you need iodine supplementation. Highly recommend this. I do about 4-6 drops in water a day. No taste to me. LOVE it, would not be without it.

I've been told that if first aid kit iodine on the skin absorbs in significantly less than 12 hours that low iodine is a possibility, so I am trying this. I do not like the taste and am concerned about not getting too much if taken internally so I am trying it topically and am noticing increased energy levels, less need to nap and improved skin quality when I massage a drop on affected areas.

I used this brand many years ago. Saw that Amazon had this sho I'm hoping it works as well as it used to for ne.

I used this when I was young and it helped a lot. When I got on my own I kind of forgot about it and really didn't know where to find it. Then I started to get dizzy spells when I would stand up too fast or if I had to walk around something like winding Christmas lights around a column 3 or 4 times. I also just had a general tiredness all the time. I remembered about taking liquid dulse when young for the same symptoms so I found this and it has changed the way I feel so drastically that I will not let it run out at my house. My kids take it as well since it is a very good iodine supplement and iodine is a general health promoter. Colds have been very much reduced at our house since we started taking it as well.

I was extremely disappointed with this product when I read the ingredients: Glycerin, Deionized Water, Dulse Palmaria Palmata (leaf), Potassium Iodide, Caramel Color. There was no mention of Potassium Iodide in the website listing. Only after I received it did I find out.Dulse is a natural product and there is practically no way you can overdose on it. Potassium Iodide, on the other hand, is relatively easy to overdose on if it gets into the wrong hands. If I wanted to buy Potassium Iodide, I would have bought Potassium Iodide!

Our review in short.While the standard is Lugol's 5%, which I was going to get, a friend suggested i try the Jensen Liqui-Dulse,so I did-- and it was pretty darn good!With supplementation for certain vitamins and minerals such as iodine, iron, vitamin-A, vitamin-E, Spirulina, etc.. LESS is more.Due to the risk of overdose, it is important not to take them more than 2-3x per week (about every 4days or every 3days) -- to allow for optimum, maximum absorption within the body -- take a good general multi vitamin daily or every other day (M, W, Th, Fr, Sa) and then additional supplements such as iodine, spirulina, iron, additional vit-A, vit-E, b-complex, biotin, etc... 2-3 days out of the week (Sun, Thu or Sun, Tue Thu) - to supply essential nutrients that the body might not be getting or processing in the daily diet and to avoid overload.For best results take Liqui-Dulse on opposite days from multi-vitamin (or 2x per weekr at nighttime if multi-vitamin is taken daily in mornings).** As Growth Aid for stimulating hair growth massage into scalp a nighttime 2days per week or every 4 days for 8-12 months (Sun, Thu) -- can leave-in for drier hair types (2d,3cd,4abc,5abc,6ab)-- and shampoo out next day for oilier or finer (1abc,2abcd,3ab,4a) hair types)-- Do not add other stimulants or essential oils on days Liqui-Dulse is applied-- Also helpful, do a google search on iodine and hair growth...Iodine and Spirulina and other vegan sea based products can cause fishy odors, so extra showers may/will be necessary-- and drink lots of plain water to flush system, and deodorizing cleansing drinks such as peppermint -water (add 2-3 drops peppermint essential oil to one- 8ounce glass of water and drink), or unsweetened peppermint tea (avoid eo's if pregnant or under age 8), unsweetened ginger-tumeric root-cinnamon tea, or tomato juice (unless allergic or nightshade sensitive or have vitiligo) and detox with food grade calcium bentonite clay in water drink (see recipes on line).. -Avoid allergen triggers altogether.The various applications make Bernard Jensen Liqui-Dulse actually turned out to be a very pleasant surprise.The only real downside was that it listed caramel-color among the ingredients (hence the C++ instead of b rating--so i may be getting that lugol's at some point anyway)the ingredients as listed on the bottle are: Glycerin, Deionized Water, Dulse Palmaria Palmata (leaf), Potassium Iodide, Caramel Color.Overall, the low total number of ingredients and the noticeable effect after 10 months of use make it definitley worth trying and a solid alternative to lugol's Iodine for general use (but for regimen's that specifically call for lugol's such as dmso or mms-- use Logul's).Our grade; solid C++, or 3.85Stars!

Although I started with another brand label which I also purchased on AMAZON, I also love this product. I take it every morning in an ounce of water. I had graves disease..hyperthyroid and was on medication. Since taking iodine I have not been on medication for over 1 year and my test results keep coming back in that the normal range. I am so glad I started taking iodine daily. This brand label is a better price than the other brand.
