I loved it immediately. The lid fit great, and the jar was a classic style that would fit in any decor. Easy to wash, it was sitting on the counter waiting for me to fill it and put on display. I would have given it 5 stars, except...The bad news...This container arrived promptly in a box so damaged I took pictures of it before I opened it; it looked like an accordion. I was happy to discover the inside box was not damaged and the Jar was fine. As I was putting dishes away this morning, I taped the side of the jar with a plastic spatula and broke the jar. I was surprised at how easily it broke, especially after having survived the shipping. I suppose it might have sustained damage in shipping that I had not seen, but I don't want to risk having something that breaks so easily.. It easily holds one box and I fully expect it will hold two boxes, possible three. The jar itself is glass. The lid has a clear silicon/rubber seal that keeps the jar sealed when the lid is on. It's a very attractive way to store pasta on the counter. I'm very happy with it.
