Found that burning smell
Bought this adapter to work with my existing 220/15 outlet and my new Pre-Owned 2017 Chevrolet Volt. We've been using it every day for charging at only 12 Amps, as that is the maximum setting for the vehicle. The part was in service from December 2019 to June 2024. Looks like I narrowly escaped a house fire! The outlet looks fine, so I would say the adapter was the weak link!
