Sunfood MSM Powder, 16oz

this has been great in the metal detox, I used bentonite clay also along with cleansing and flushing the liver. I have been noticing I am getting leaner over all, but I keep up with the detox, also cilantro helps, In the smoothie.

MSM does not dissolve as advertised on the bottle. Hard to swallow when it's gritty. First time this has happened. Not sure we want to reorder.

The product is effective. I had to slowly increase the dosage from 1/2 teaspoon to 1 teaspoon because taking it too strong caused a few negative affects at first. Didn't need to shock my body with taking a lot at once. Taking it consistently with a lower dosage eliminated those other symptons and really smoothed out my nails and cuticles. It also prevents my hair from much breaking. When I had gone off of it for awhile, I noticed the difference significantly. My nails were looking rough and hair breaking like a tweed. When taking it consistently, my hair strands are stronger with a LOT less breakag. It's almost nonexistent taking my 1 teaspoon of MSM powder with the 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of Camu Camu powder mixed together. Drinking plenty of water afterwards is advised. Of course, the hair needs to be cared for outwardly as well which works in conjunction to what is done from the inside. I really love the product.2/20/14 UpdateThis review is just to update the results of the MSM. While it has worked for me before, I had to discontinue for awhile this time. It seems that it was softening my nails too much. Noticed it more since I've stop taking it and nails began to strengthen again. It could be that I had been taking it with other supplements which may not have mixed well with em or the product (possibly less potenent than when I was using before) could have been changed....not sure. Just didn't seem as effective as it was for me before. I'm still learning but plan on resuming again at a later time to see if I experience the same results. Will update again once that happens as well.

I couldn't take this powder more than just a few times. I tried different juices to disguise the overly bitter taste to no avail. I understand powders are more effective than pills, but unfortunately I've had to revert back to the pills.

Since using this product my hair and nails are doing great. My nails are stronger. My hair is getting healthier. I take this product with biotin. Take it with orange juice is great.

Maybe for me is better than pills but my wife say taste a little bitter. After all my races of training my joints don't complain anymore. That's all I care about. I can keep running longer and longer.

Wish it was made in the USA rather than China. Also, it doesn't dissolve all that well. The label says that it is from natural sources, rather than petroleum by-products but unless there is someone from Sunfood, watching over the process, I have my doubts.

MSM powder is all bitter, so buy the tablets if you can't stand bitter foods. This powder is great because it dissolves fairly easily, and the bitterness can easily be masked by fruit juice.
