PRECISION: The cutting depth of the blade can be progressivley adjusted by an adjusting screw at the end of the handle. This prevents damaging the inner conductors. ADDITIONAL FUNCTION: The self-rotating cutting blade is integrated in the housing and thus enables automatic changeover from round to longitudinal cutting. Additionally the No. 4-28 H has a hooked blade. Due to the replaceable inner blade, the cable stripping knife is very easy to maintain. ERGONOMICS: This stripping tool has an ergonomically shaped, non-slip handle that makes the knife easy to use. QUALITY: 100% Made in Germany - The cable stripper is completely manufactured in Germany and is made of robust and glass-fibre reinforced polyamide. I use this everyday on everything from 3c to 19c . I have yet to have it strip pass the outer jacket and ruin the wire. This tool is made with quality considering its plastic. I purchased this for several of my coworkers who all were impressed with its performance.

i used one of these 20 years ago made by ideal. it was a good tool but often broke the blade and was hard to adjust correctly. I use this everyday on everything from 3c to 19c . I have yet to have it strip pass the outer jacket and ruin the wire. This tool is made with quality considering its plastic. I purchased this for several of my coworkers who all were impressed with its performance.

These are a helpful tool to have handy especially if you have a thick multiconductor cable. I had about 200' of 8/3 that these didn't have a problem cutting through. The included 'hawk bill' knife works nice for surgically cutting away the jacket but the wedge stripper really works nicely. The only complaint I have is that the adjustment knob at the bottom is a little hard to use but other than that, these work greate.
