I installed this on my 2003 F150 with the 5.4 liter V8. Installation was pretty straightforward, requiring only modest mechanical skills and ordinary hand tools.After installation, and allowing for the time it took the ECU computer to "learn" the difference in operating conditions, I quickly noticed an increase in power, with no noticeable increase in noise. Over time, I also found a slight increase in mileage (maybe 1 - 2 mpg). The final proof was when we took our RV trailer on vacation. The truck pulled much better, especially as we entered the Blue Ridge mountains. Also, the overall gas mileage for the trip, including pulling the trailer, was significantly better then on previous trips.Short of installing a turbocharger, this is probably about the best thing you can do to improve your engine's breathing, and it's a whole lot cheaper and simpler than hooking up a blower!

Good HP gain, much smoother running. But burns a little more gas.

Works for my 2003 f150 5.4l

I put this on my 2004 expedition 5.4 liter. I was getting 12.2 mpg before. I went to the ocean for a day trip and mpg is 17.5 how nice is that, with a 30 gallon tank thats 150 extra miles per fill up.........The extra horse power comes in handy too. I am a machinist and the install went perfict. All the bits and pieces went together sweet. At the ocean during Memorial day, there was a small car show. A really nice Mustang had a blower and big block and a K&N intake on it. My wife said, "hay it looks just like our car!". People around us just looked at her and walked away. I laughed hard. The intake looked like ours.........just not the rest of the supper cool blown mustang. I love it.

Great product and looks great under the hood. This replaced an S&B intake i had, because I couldnt find their air filters anymore. Overall I can tell the difference, but I think thats because I also installed a TB spacer by Airraid; also a great product. This was installed on a 2003 4.6 liter F-150. Havent went through a full tank of fuel so I havent found out the MPG's saved yet, but just in the half tank so far I say I'm around 1 - 1.5mpg.Update on the above review:I have gone through a full tank of fuel and I'm around 17mpg's in the city. I would probably get more but I'm running 22in wheels with 305 coopers.

Great made truck sound good looks good gave another mile or 2 per gollon when driving and only took an hour to put on after it was on my fater said im going to get on for his truck too lol great k&n

I bought this intake for my 03' F-150 SuperCrew 4.6L. The directions were easy to follow and only took a few hours to install (I am not much of a gearhead and it was 20ish degrees-give me a break.) When I get down on the pedal you really hear the air being sucked into the engine and it sounds awesome. The truck also moves quicker and I am getting better gas mileage (1-2mpg.) Should have purchased a long time ago.

It looks nice and the polished tube has a nice finishIt says that it would fit my stock supercharged lightning but it will only fit the non supercharged 5.4L
