Great edc tool which is light and does not need a sheath
Great piece of kit for excellent value as it's slim not to heavy and it's valued piece for outdoors, survival and is priced where you have money left as leatherman between surge and mut are too expensive while on a tight budget

Light duty bushcraft tool
The usual excellent fitment and quality control one expects from Victorinox. The Forester is the more bushcraft oriented tool than the comparable 111mm One Hand Trekker. The larger non-serrated blade is easier to use simply because the spine is flat and more comfortable for resting the thumb when carving and the lack of serrations makes it far easier to sharpen/strop. Don't dismiss the corkscrew as it is useful for loosening knots and serves as a handy storage device for holding a 3/32 inch ferrocerium rod. Wrap the rod and corkscrew with some heavily waxed jute twine and you have excellent tinder for fire starting. Use bees wax as it is slightly sticky and will keep it adhered to the corkscrew and rod. The back of the saw blade also serves as a very good striker for a ferrocerium fire starter rod. The saw is certainly adequate for cutting notches and the like. This is a fairly large knife and a sheath/pouch can be a more comfortable way to carry it. Victorinox makes a pouch or you can make your own by waxing some cotton demin and hand stitching it into a usable carrier. Waxing the cotton demin will make it water repellent and in an emergency it can serve as tinder for a starting a fire.

You can't go wrong with a SAK!!!
Swiss Army Knives made by Victorinox are still the best out there and still a fair value. Overall the Forester has what I need, a locking main blade, awl and a great little saw. I spend most of my time outdoors in the desert southwest region, so this meets all my needs because I'm not dealing with large diameter trees. I like this larger format as a one tool option over the standard size.

Great Larger Victorinox SAK
This is one great knife. It's a 111mm locking blade. It's very sharp out of the box. The saw is larger than on this knife than other saws on regular Victorinox SAKS. This knife feels good in hand and is beefy. I added a pocket hanger as I do with all my Victorinox pocket knives. If you're a fan of Victorinox SAKS and want a bit larger knife, get this one. It might not be a one handed flipper but it's a great lockblade to have for EDC.

Too big for pocket but no clip
Good knife but too large to comfortably carry even in jeans pockets. It is both long and thick. Blade lock is solid. Single hand opening is just barely so because the friction is so high even with a top notch oil.It has a good selection of tools.

the new ruler after the Rucksack
this is an easy 5 stars Victrinox. for 20+ years I've carried the Rucksack and it has never let me down with almost daily use (mostly the corkscrew 😋 but all tools appreciated).this update changes the plastic side-slider to lock the main blade to a metal liner-lock, a stronger choice in my opinion. surprise! another liner-lock is added to the screwdriver, also a nice touch. the awl loses the eye-hole 🤔 questionable, but I've actually never used it.I'd like a thumb hole to operate the main blade one handed. that's possible, but you have to go to a different (and pricier) grip model for that.the king is dead! long live the king!! 👑..is the story of this one.

Its a Victorinox
An excellent product. Great design with a good number of tools. This is a great edc and worthy of anyones pack. It holds an edge well and deployment of its features is easy.

High quality, comfortable and usable in many applications.
I carry and use mine often, more comfortable than mutli-tool and rarely miss having pliers. Typical high Victorinox quality, excellent lock blade for me. Just bought another one as a gift for a friend. Highly recommend.
