We've had this for 7 months and I'm thinking about getting a second one for the other bathroom.I bought this when we moved to a house with a septic system as a way to contain wet wipes. This is excellent for that purpose. Everything is out of sight, it doesn't smell, and it's hands-free. It can smell during the brief period that the lid is open, but we change the liner (use regular small trash bags, which are oversized for this but I already had them for another purpose) once a week and that keeps the smell to a minimum.The motion sensor works great. We have a cat who has shown zero interest in the trash can and has never set the motion sensor off.

This is great! I bought it for my mother to use as a diaper pail. She only uses diapers overnight, and it will hold a week's worth (I have the 4-gallon version). She's in a wheelchair full time, so she can't use the kind of can that you step on to open, and I didn't want to buy a diaper pail that takes special (and expensive) refill bags. Plus, this is metal instead of plastic, which is a bonus.I'm just using Kirkland 13-gallon drawstring bags with this. They're much bigger than necessary, but far cheaper than buying 8-gallon drawstring bags. They fit fine around the retainer ring, and the excess bag just sits on the bottom of the can. It works fine, because when we change the bag, there's usually other stuff that we can fill the bag with before disposing of it. If you don't care about having a drawstring closure, you can probably use 4-gallon or 8-gallon trash bags.The sensor works well so far. I was afraid that it might pop open whenever she went near it, but the sensor seems to really only sense movement that is pretty much above it (like waving your hand), not just passing by it.Odors haven't been a problem with it so far.Be careful to take note of the size. It's more like a desk- or bathroom- sized can, not a kitchen size. It's perfect for my mother because she has it in her closet and it doesn't take up a lot of space. She really didn't have room for a kitchen-sized one. If I could have purchased a 6- to 8- gallon one, I probably would have, but I couldn't find anything in that size that had a motion sensor opening.

Item arrived in perfect condition with no damage. Motion sensor works well. I also received a coupon for free samples (trash bags, extra odor eliminator). Mine came with a lemon scented odor eliminator to slide into the slot of the trash can. It’s not strong but it smells nice. You will need 4 AA batteries that are not included. Love the trash can! Would buy again.

Well somewhat disappointed. Once I received product I read the manual and noticed an electric plug in. Was not included. You must buy the AC adapter separately at almost same cost of trash can. Also it’s sold out online. So I put batteries into the machine and top does not open. Once u open it closes but does not open. Defeats the purpose of touchless trash.

The media could not be loaded.  **January 2020 Update**-It has now been 10 months since I purchased and this product continues to perform flawlessly. I have not changed the batteries since my last input.Purchased this in the middle of March 2019, so I’ve been using it for approximately six months. I do not have a plug-in nearby so I use batteries, it takes 4 AA size Batteries. I Cannot remember if I have had to change them yet tho and it is used several times a day.I do not buy bags for it I just use plastic grocery bags for the liner. So far I am thoroughly pleased with this purchase and would definitely recommend it.

I loved this trash bin. It was the perfect addition to my bathroom. Just the right size and cute. Unfortunately, it on my worked until it was time to change the battery. Even with new batteries the lid was unresponsive. Tried to use adapter and still unresponsive. I can still use it as long I manually lift the lid but that defeats the purpose of a touch less trash bin, right?

I purchased this for my sons nursery to use as a diaper pail! It’s AMAZING. Contains the smell of the dirty diapers and I love that it automatically lifts open and closes. Makes night time changes a breeze.

The lid quit working. Looking for the warranty. I thought it had a lifetime.

Purchased and received today it looks really smart. Just wanted a small bin for the bedroom and a one where the dogs cant get into it ☺️ I would definately recommend. I know you can buy cheaper options out there but I like it has a filter to reduce odours.

It's sturdy, neat and quite to operate and I like the was it how it opened up when you approached it, you close all by itself, very hygienic.
