I had a similar rod tube I purchased from Maxcatch with the 5wt Extreme combo and loved it so I wanted another rod case that could also store my reel on the rod as well as extra storage for an extra flybox.This is much nicer than the first one I purchased not that there was anything wrong with it.This rod case has a soft inner lining with seperate compartments for the rod sections to store them safely. I was able to store a 1-3wt reel on the Maxcatch UltraLite 2wt rod as well as a 4wt 8'-6" rod with 4wt reel both in this rod case for traveling. WIth the expandable strap, this rod case is ideal for carrying a spare/extra rod with me when fishing some back country head waters. I highly recommend this Rod case from Maxcatch fishing. I knew something might be wrong as the case was sliced through as maybe a razor went through it. Maybe in shipping. I couldn't return it as I was heading for extended trip and needed it. This was a really great buy! I was looking for a case for a rod that would allow me to keep the reel attached. The case is sturdy and provides excellent protection for my 4-piece rod and reel. The little side pocket is great for extra leaders, a fly box, or whatever.

I really like this case and it is made very well. It is just long enough for my 6ft rod with a fighting butt to fit perfectly and the reel does not need to be taken of the rod. There is even enough room in the reel pocket to fit the 5/6 reel & it's factory padded case inside. I have already recommended it to a friend.

What do I dislike? Well #1 it still hasn’t been delivered! I know with the pandemic and all but this is ridiculous. And added on to that is not getting any updates. I certainly hope when it gets here it is the best thing since sliced bread. 🤔

Looks to be an excellent quality rod/reel case that will provide very good protection with a little extra room for other items. The colors on the extra storage are a little loud in my opinion that doesn't detract from the rod protection.

So awesome in design and quality. Anytime you don't have to remove the reel for transport /storage is a big plus for me. Plus inside is bright orange making it easy to see as you pull out or put in the rod n reel. It has both hand strap and shoulder strap..best of both worlds.

It's nice for the money but needs more padding. Its basically a PC tube with cloth pockets. No foam in the bottom so it won't help if you bang it around too much. It's good for taking your rod to the stream but I wouldn't use it for real travel.
