Starter Kit Vinyl

I bought this as part of a bundle with my new Silhouette Cameo machine. This comes with 4 rolls of vinyl and a big roll of adhesive transfer paper. It also includes a couple tools, dvd, etc. It's a real good starter kit to get you going with vinyl stencils and designs. Also I must add, the vinyl is definitely good quality with amazing adhesion! You can cut it and use it permanently on almost anything. I just love my Silhouette! Don't know how I got along without it since I'm really into crafting of many types!

I'm not incredibly talented at crafting, and the Silhouette was a splurge. I've been dipping my toes into the possibilities of the cutting machine and finally purchased this starter kit. If the price is right, the kit is a great value - one can probably determine this by looking at the price for a hook, scraper, a full size roll of 9"-wide transfer paper and adding it together. There are "sample" pieces of 4 colors of vinyl, but not full rolls (and the sample sizes are all 9" wide). The demonstration video is borderline useless. I had to watch a few videos on YouTube to really get a feel for how things work. My first vinyl project turned out flawless (maybe because I read/re-read the instructions multiple times and watched other videos). I'm really excited to come up with new vinyl projects. Two more points: (1) I think some crafters don't believe the "scraper" tool is worth buying, but I disagree. Although it is just a piece of molded plastic, I get much better results with it than an old credit card - it is more sturdy and fits in your hand better. (2) This one is silly, but perhaps some users can relate: I like the box it came in. My office/scrapbook room/junk room gets pretty cluttered and these starter kit boxes are great to keep your Silhouette stuffs organized.

The items contained in the kit are great for starting out; however, the instruction were terrible. I did have everything that I would need in the kit to make my 1st vinyl project. But I just expected more guidance or better step by step instructions for a beginner who has never used the Silhouette sytem. I was able to find plenty of guidance and how to viedos on the web, you tube and various blogs.

I have had nothing but fun with this machine thus far. Made some really cute things. The machine is so easy to use and with the optional software (that is VERY reasonably priced) I have been able to make my own designs. My daughters wedding is upcoming and we have some really neat things planned. I highly recommend this over the Cricut.

Starter packs get a bad wrap on these reviews and I saw some pretty bad ones for this particular one but I thought it was great. Yes the tutorial video was a joke but I didn't need it. I watched a you tube video and I was set. It is great practice and there is enough to do a couple small projects. I would highly recommend for a newbie who wants to try vinyl.

Not too much in the package, some vinyl, a DVD I have yet to watch, pretty much what I expected. Except...wait a minute...Mine was missing the scraper! Thus begins my tale of woe....errr..wait a minute. or not. Usually these experiences leave me annoyed, and frustrated. Often its "spend more money then its worth to ship x to us, prove your identity, and include a hair sample". Not here. I emailed customer service to inform them I had 2 hooks, but no scraper thingy. Response "hey no problem send us you address and name, and serial number and we will ship one out. One problem-my came machine isn't here yet, so no serial number. I told them I would email it to them when it arrived. So yeah normally thats...wait and wait, then send the serial number when you get your machine, then wait some more right? Nah, these guys said, "ah skip that then, just your name and addy and we will take care of you". i suspect they looked up my serial number from that since my machine was still in the mail. This is what buying a product should feel like. When they mess up they take care of it.

I got a Silhouette Cameo for Christmas as a surprise. As a teacher, I know I will put it to use, but initially I wasn't sure how. I didn't get vinyl or any other materials to cut with the Cameo, so I ordered this sample pack. It was a little over priced and I honestly didn't love the colors that come in the kit (particularly the green and pink). It does have black and white vinyl though and if you're like me and clueless about Cameos, you might find the kit helpful to have a few additional tools. You could also probably buy individual vinyls (Oracle 631 or 651) and be just fine though.

I bought this kit after purchasing the new Silhouette Cameo. I am a novice when it comes to vinyl. There was a lot of trial and error in the beginning with cutting depth. I have found that the Silhouette Vinyl is of much better quality than what I have found at hobby stores. My kit came with black, soft pink, and a lime green vinyl rolls. The transfer tape is very good compared to others I have used. I recommend buying this as it is a great deal and far less expensive than purchasing everything separately.

This kit makes starting with vinyl rally east vinyl included is a good quality and makes 'weeding ' a breeze

Wer starten möchte mit dem Vinylplotten, dem empfehle ich, sich im Internet zu informieren zB per Youtube, welche Werkzeuge und Materialien man braucht. Diese erhält man "einzeln" günstiger in besser Qualität, als in diesem Starterpaket von Silhouette. Der Cameo 3 ist super, aber die Startepaket benötigt man nicht. Unkomplizierte Abwicklung, schnelle Lieferung.
