Bought these to train and do the Murph Challenge this year. It’s a great way to gradually increase your load, I added 4 bars a week. They fit perfectly in the hyper best I have. I must say that as you add weight the vest gets quite a bit more uncomfortable but I’m pretty sure anything with 25 lbs on you for a run would! As long as I don’t lose these, they will last much longer than the vest itself!

Buyer beware! 36 pieces should be 81oz at 2.25oz per hyperwear the makers of hypervests and the weights. Well I bought these weights and was only given 35pieces not 36. At the price point that’s a problem but one I could over look. The discovery was when I weighed the pieces to see if they added to 5lbs which it doesn’t - came to 4lbs 12.5oz. Ok that’s interesting. So then I weighed the supposed ten pounds that came with the vest - nope not ten pounds. What I found is the weights spanned from 1.9-2.1oz. If you buy the vest, a ten pound vest that’s quadruple the price of any other ten pound vest you’d expect a higher quality product with better quality control and quality assurance. The beef I have is the vest I own is discontinued xxl only because it held the most at 64 pounds. Well, fully kitted out with the extra weights I’ll be looking at a price of 632$. You could get 6 60# vests for that cost. Plus with the discrepancy of being short weights and the weights themselves not being as heavy as advertised then getting to 64# isn’t feasible. You’ll essentially paid for a five pound pack for nothing based on these issues.

Great added bonus. At first when I saw the price I was under the impression that I was ordering 15-20lbs. Then as I read further I realized that it was only five pounds and I was turned off, then I read some reviews, watched some videos and I gave in and bought them. I am still getting use to the ten pounds and I intend to increase a pound a month.

There are only so many “empty slots” left in the vest to actually add in the weights, so I had to double up on some of the slots, which seems to stretch it out quite a bit and it looks like it’s going to be more prone to tearing. It still fits snug and I love my vest, but I don’t see me adding any more weights anyway. Which is a good thing cuz I think it’s a little too much $ for 5 lbs extra anyway.

Rather than a sleek feel it looks very blocky with the weights doubled up. The pockets fit nicely with one weight, when you add the second they don't lay nicely. They don't fit side by side, so you are stacking one on top of the other, but the pockets are not snug enough to keep them stacked straight so they slide sideways and end up half to the side half in front. The fabric also appears strained under 2 weights in a pocket. I like the product, but I am returning the extra weights.

well made and solid construction, however these things will react to your sweat no matter what they are made of so my suggestion is to paint them to keep these things from changing the color of your vest.

I love this vest. I ran 3.5 hours in it, no problem, no chafing, and it has helped my running a lot. I recommend it. I don't know how well it will hold up, but I will wear it til it falls apart, then get another.
