Sturdiness and value
These are big chairs and very sturdy. My dining room is also a library and these chairs look wonderful. If you are under 5'5 you will need a back pillow. The chairs will hold an 18X18 inch pillow. I spend a bit of time reading in the chairs. I would recommend them.

HARD, Cheap looking , poor customer service
HARD AS A ROCK. Sturdy but overall poor workmanship. They arrived with stains and loose nails. Totally uncomfortable. Disproportionately built. Seat is so deep with not much cushion that at 5 feet 3 inches tall my feet swing and don’t touch the floor. Will not recommend this for anything but looks. HARD TO SIT IN FOR MORE THAN 30 min. Slow response from Coastal to get this issue fixed. Trucking company also ran a forklift through the box and created damage also. Worst buy ever. Poor customer service.

Go for it! There are cheaper styles, but we did get what we gladly paid for. Well built, sturdy and nice looking.

Well made and attractive chair.
I use these chairs for my dining table. They are firm and well upholstered for a captains chair. I would recommend them.

Uneven legs and very discomfort.
one side of the leg is shorter in size when compared to other three. which makes very discomfort. Shipping box is bigger which lead to damage of box during fork lift. Instead they can split into 2 pieces. Packaging isn't that great.

Not worth the price
The chairs look beautiful, particular from a little distance. From close up the lack of fabric finishing on cut ends is noticeable and could result in fraying overtime. The seat was also hard (beyond firm) and would not have been comfortable for long. Lastly, one of my chairs had a yellowish stain on the fabric. Hence the chairs were returned.
