So far so good.
Works well on mosquitos. Satisfying and makes you feel good every time you get one. This is very easy to use so don't let other posts make you afraid to buy one. Turn it on and when you want to swat a bug, just push the button. It is so easy and really intuitive. Your brain will just get it, if you just let it, and not over think it. I have had other bug zappers over the years, this one is made very well. It is lightweight and sturdy and should last for a very long time. Don't hesitate to buy it, just do it, you will have fun with it and keep yourself bite free, it works that well. You will actually be able to sit outside in the afternoon without getting bit up by bugs. It has worked on every bug I have tried it on. Great product!!! I notice when I am zapping bugs outside and it is not windy, after getting a few, they stop coming around so much. There is a bit of smell of the fried bug in the air and I think it keeps the others from coming around. All good in every way and fun too.

What's not to like? Works like magic!
This is the third one I bought; for my mom, and my best friend. I've used this particular model for about ten years and it's still going strong. All you have to do is turn the red slide switch on, then hover the ZAP IT! Mini Bug Zapper near the mosquito, gnat, fly or whatever insect is pestering you inside your abode. ZAP! when they touch it. It's that simple. They either vaporize, fall dead from electrocution or are disabled, depending on their overall size, so you can then dispatch them. (No I'm not going to wax poetic like so many others have done. This is a review- spare me.) This is a very fast, easy, convenient and efficient way to get rid of those few bothersome insects. Never had a problem with it. Would recommend to all.

Works as advertised, but not as not advertised 😈
I originally bought it for what it is not advertised for... bedroom fun! Alas, it has a safety mesh on it so that people won't get shocked. So I turned toward bugs and it's very effective! Every year I end up with fruit flies in my house for a few weeks. I do the usual remedies of letting house plant soil dry out, remove trash, take fruits off the counter, soapy water and vinegar under a light and it works okay but not great. So I keep this on the kitchen counter and when one of us sees a fly *ZAP!!!* it's gone. It's a bit gruesome to be murdering in the kitchen, but it's actually a lot of fun. The kids really love the "game!" And the fruit flies are gone within days. I like that it's rechargeable, light-weight and easy to carry to an outdoor gathering. Friends chuckle when they see it, but then don't want to put it down when they get that oh-so-very satisfying feeling from the huge *ZAP!* and the flash of light.

Mini is just as good, and you get 2 of them.
So far so good for this mini version. These things are very light and hopefully their plastic doesn’t break. I have dropped it once already, but it shows no signs of damage. This product should be used to wave around in the air to touch the pests. It is not intended to “hit” or “smack” anything because it will break. I do however notice that I catch more pests the faster I wave it in the air (be aware of your environment; try not to break anything or hurt anyone). The flys that I manage to hit with this make a loud snapping sound. Sometimes they survive the hit and fly away, but most times they fall to the ground subdued, allowing you to step on them. Other times they get stuck in it and make a little lightning bolt arc shine from their bodies. This usually results in a burned smell if you continue to press the energizing button (which I will explain in a moment). These USB rechargeable zap rackets come with only one cord, but I already have another cord for a cell phone, so, whatever. The charge cord fits behind the yellow door at the base of the handle. I like that this product has switches on it. One on the side that cuts power to the metal completely, and one in the middle of the handle to control a light. Why it needs a light is beyond me, but it’s there if you need it. The main button that energizes the metal grid is the yellow button on the side. There are two LED lights on the handle. A red LED light that shines to show you that the metal grid is being energized every time the yellow button is pressed, and a green one lower on the handle that only shines to indicate when it is finished recharging. Oh, and instructions say it should be charged before use. It also says it can be recharged a thousand times (or something along those lines) because of the powerful lithium battery, but I have yet to charge it again (since the first charge after I received it). I have already killed around 40 flies and a few mosquitoes with one of them on a single charge and it shows no signs of weakening. Both rackets have fully charged within two hours. I have not shocked myself yet, and I have noticed that this is due to the safe design. I am fairly certain that shocking yourself is a possibility if you are determined to do it, but I highly recommend that you not. I am thoroughly satisfied with this product so far but I will return to update this review if I find any problems or flaws to adjust the star rating.
