worked out very nice; I already had the pols and just needed the top / bottom to support the boat coverlooks great will know as soon as the next rain and wind storm comes thru but looks like this will be great

Boat Cover Pole
This is a great pole for your boat cover support (stationary). Will fall on towing. Great for keeping rain from puddling on the cover. Plastic base and cap is not heavy duty, but works.

Yes the price is good and you can tell the plastic is cheap and cheaply made but if you take care of them they will last. And I will admit they are doing a fantastic job keeping the boat tarp propped up and water out of the boat!!!

Cheap and not worth the cheap price
Fell over inside my boat just as others stated in their feedback and my boat cover filled with water. I had to drain the cover with this "support pole" laying on the lower deck of my bass boat. DO NOT BUY!!! Worthless expenditure of money!!!

OK......BUT YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR
I ordered these for our Suntracker 20' Fishing Barge and installed them. I am sending them back and getting the aluminum poles for strength, durability and adjust-ability.Pros:CHEAP COMPARED TO ALUMINUMEASY TO SET UPCons:CHEAP AND CAN BREAK EASILY IF TO MUCH PRESSURE IS APPLIED TO THE THIN WALL PLASTIC POLESNON-ADJUSTABLE, YOU EITHER ADD OR SUBTRACT A SEGMENT OF POLE.....NO IN-BETWEENMIGHT BE OK THE SMALLER BOATS, BUT FOR PONTOONS I WOULD DEFINITELY GO WITH THE ALUMINUM POLES

Does not stay expanded.
Once pole is expanded to hold boat tarp up, it will not stay expanded and tarp collapses.Do not recommend.

Holds up 16' Fishing boat cover very well
Seems quite sturdy. Extends easily and locks with a twist. So far is holding up the cover on my fishing boat quite well even in the stormy conditions we recently had. Base is wide and stable though would be better if it had some non-stick properties (maybe a thin layer of silicone would help here?). Domed top distributes the load so won't blow a hole through the cover. Overall, worth the extra $$ compared to other products.
