Yes you can eat it cold, warm or right out of the can.

What if my cans are dented? Can they be returned?

Absolutely. I would never accept a dented can. But you should be able to see if it's the edge or side of the can. The lip of the can dent may compromise the seal. A dent on the side should make no difference. If the dent bothers you, return them within the return window.
