How to Build Killer Big-Block Chevy Engines

Killer Big Block chev's
This book is very in depth, Vizzard goes well beyond what I knew about engine building, really makes me feel like a total rookie when it comes to putting an engine together! I left about a 100 hp on the engine stand when I built the engine in my boat. (.060 over 454 with 11.5 to one comp and a solid Isky cam) Vizzard knows his stuff.

Big Blocks early, late; are all still great.
Good content of standard history knowledge. Good book for someone who is not real familiar with the different big block generations. The late model information is better than many of the books written last decade. I would call it a summation of what was, is now; packed with lots of specs, part numbers, engine combinations. The book also has a lot of shop set up tips which I found to be accurate, and well explained. I would buy it again, and I will refer to it in the future. You can never have too many reference sources. I have books spanning over 25 years of building the Big Block Chevy - it sure has lots of after market suport these days for a 50 year old design platform. Big Blocks forever!!!!!

Good standard.
My problem isn't with the general info. My problem is the dyno proven combinations part. There is 1 combo at the end.Not plural. If you want many proven combos check out How to Build Max-Performance Chevy Big-Blocks on a Budget, master engine builder David Vizard.

Great Book
This is a great book for anyone that wants to work on small block engines. I've been working on other types of engines and this has thought me new things. Would recommend to anyone.
