I place 5 scoops of DE in a 5-gallon bucket and add water to make a slurry and dump it into the strainer opening and use the hose to flush water and DE so it doesn't clump **Q: What volume (in cups quarts or liters, not weight or "coffee cans") are you supposed to use per sq ft of filter?** A: I think it depends on your filter.
