When you install the lights and find the lights is flickering or not turn on, it may be caused by the different current. Because our energy-efficient led headlights require less current than halogen or xenon headlamps, you need to install a pair of decoders to solve the problem. 3. Please make sure the headlamp housing has enough space for mounting and cooling. 4.  If the LED headlight bulb and fan do not work after installation, please try 180° reverse the plug and reconnect.

to make the perfect beam pattern
I own a 2012 Dodge Ram 3000 with the quad (reflector) headlights. I have been a huge fan of LED headlights. The first wet I installed in another truck worked okay. And I thought, eh, well at least they have a lower power draw than my halogens. Well, as I started to really learn conversions, I learned a fundamental, the performance of any LED conversion has to do with the placement and orientation of the LED chipset in the housing. There are two really good sources of information about conversions; headlight revolution and bulb facts. Both sources say that the housing is designed around a very specific location of the light source to produce the desired beam pattern. After installing the QCHEYE bulb into my reflector housing I was disappointed to see the scatter to the left of and slightly higher than the hot spot. That is a result of the led orientation in the reflector housing. What you see to the upper left is “scatter” and is why many oncoming drivers will flash their highs beams at you. That effect will “dazzle” oncoming drivers and makes for a safety issue. Many of us have been that oncoming car as we crest a hill or come around a bend on a dark country road only to have your vision “attacked” by high beams, improper aiming, or HID or LED scatter. So, how do you make sure your QCHEYE LED bulb is orientated so that this does not happen? Well, there is a small screw that holds the black plastic mounting collar ring to the bulb. That screw runs through the collar and into the a threaded hole in the metal part of the bulb. I removed the screw, mounted the collar in the housing, placed the bulb through the collar, plugged in the light, and started rotating the light until I found the ideal bulb orientation for my housing. I noted the orientation of the led to the collar, made marks, and drilled a small, countersunk hole in the collar. I reinstalled the collar and screw and there you go. As it turns out, reflectors with vertical baffles to generate a beam pattern benefit the most from an led that is orientated such that the LED board is vertical so the LEDS fire horizontally. That is the difference between picture 2 and 3. See how the beam pattern is almost identical to the halogen bulb. What is missing is the light haze below the hot spot; the fog light region.Bottom line-a really good set of bulbs, but we will see how long the bulbs and/or fans last. I highly recommend these bulbs

Works Great with Projector Headlights
Super bright, low and high beams work great. To install, remove twist lock “coupling sleeve” from back of factory headlight assembly and pull the old bulb/wiring harness out. Unplug wiring harness from bulb and discard. On new bulb, remove the twisting lock ring/flange, and slip the factory locking coupling over the bulb, then replace the lock ring/flange. When installing the bulb, make sure the bulb is oriented vertically with the LEDs at the 3 & 9 o'clock positions and the row of LEDs which is slightly forward should be on top (surprisingly, this is shown in the instructions). You'll also want to orient the lock ring/flange so that the little groove on the outer perimeter is in the 12 o'clock position which will allow you to fully seat the bulb into the housing. You'll only be able to get it inserted so far and then you'll have to turn the factory coupling a little bit to match up the 3 inner tabs with the grooves on the outer perimeter of the headlight housing. Once lined up, you'll be able to fully insert the bulb another mm or so and twist the factory coupling which locks it into place. I then used the included 3M sticky pads to attach the inline module up away from bulb (as shown in the instructions). I installed these without removing the batteries or headlight housing from truck. It was a PITA and tight working space, a few bad words were borne, but I got it done in about 20 minutes. If you follow my tips you can get it done in under 10. Due to the increased brightness I adjusted the vertical setting of the headlight down 3 full turns (counter clockwise) of the adjustment screw. I get a great pattern and nobody has flashed their lights signifying that I am blinding them. High beams are perfect. Hope this helps the next guy.

Perfect LEDs for Reflector housings !
My vehicle :: 2006 Toyota Camry LESo like many others I came from YouTube channel that highlights LEDs that are perfectly suited for reflector headlights. It's been my understanding you aren't supposed to use any LEDs because they will scatter light in all directions and blind oncoming traffic. But not these LEDs ! The housings themselves have a cutoff and the LEDs sit side to side. And I haven't had a single person flash me. I had a Phillips Xtreme vision before these lights. And with the LEDs my largest difference is forward range. I can now DEFINILTY see much further ahead. Side visibility has improved but it's not a huge difference. I think I lf i install foglights I'll signficantly improve those.I love these! The light is perfect bright and my car looks modern too. I switched back to the old halogens to compare them and man do they look so ugly and old by comparison. For the cost and the increase visibility these LEDs are amazing. Also the fans are quiet. Not sure why others say their noisy. I can't hear them in my cabin.

Very Nice White Light
Purchased these to replace the stock halogens on a 2015 Dodge Charger. The LED's are really white in color and match the driving lights and LED headlight surrounds. The stocks bulbs were too yellow and did not match. These LED's are a really nice match. So far there has been no flickering or error codes caused by the CANBUS system on my 2018. They were really easy to install and I did not have to make any modifications to get them to fit behind the factory dust covers on the back of the lights. I also did not have to do any adjusting of the light beam. These illuminate the road very well, maybe not any better than the stock halogens, but I was going for the "white" color and not really improved visibility. Very happy with these LED's with the easy of installation and compatibility for my car. It has only been a week, so if anything changes about the error codes or flickering, I will update this review.
