a cliff hanger of ole fashioned mystery at its best!
The Hardy boys set out on another of their very intriguing mysteries to find a criminal who stole a red wig that he used in a robbery from a rich estate. They assist their father who is himself a great detective and collecting all the clues and sending them to the police. The adventure has a few twist and turns that you least expect but this is indeed one of the best old-fashioned mysteries around. I have started my grandsons and granddaughters reading this series and they have loved it.

the tower of treasures
Really good book gives a lot of detail. A lot more than a movie. Just a really good book. Should read

The Hardy Boys - Yeah!
I read the Hardy Boys fifty some years ago and with "The Tower Treasure" audio book my grandsons are enjoying the stories as much as I did. They listen to audio books while settling down for sleep at night and this is the first time, according to their mother, that they listened to a cd and were so glued to the storyline that when the first one ended they put the second cd in. Their mother had to tell them it was time for sleep at the end of the second cd. Usually they have fallen asleep before the first cd is finished. They loved the characters and as I said were really hooked into the story.

What a wonderful beginning.
Such a wonderful start to a great series! Action, intrigue, comedy and; good old fashioned detective work.Written in a simpler time. Some words could cause you shake your head. Kindly dispel the notion that this would take away from the entire experience.

Classic
Considering the incredible array of choices we have in children’s literature, I decided to see where this piece of literature fits in as a reflection of its time period. Will update!(Could use a good escape!)

Original 1927 text
This is a nice paperback version of the 1927 original text by Armchair Fiction. The Tower Treasure is the first book of the Hardy Boys Mystery series.

Print-On-Demand book is poorly formatted. 214 pages condensed to 52 pages.
This review is for the "Unabridged Publications" edition book. The original 1927 text is ***** five stars. This is a Print-On-Demand book, poorly formatted. 214 original book pages are condensed to 52 magazine sized pages with double rows of page text. The font is rather small and in some cases the next chapter number is at the bottom of one column while the chapter name is at the top of the next column. With four blank pages in the back, the book could have been formatted a bit better. The modern cover art could confuse readers, there is no explanation that the text takes place in 1927 with antique technology. The publisher also takes no credit on the title page or book cover, only in the false 2023 copyright notice (the book text is in the Public Domain). The last page of the book indicates the day it was printed in Las Vegas, NV., the date is the very day I placed the order which was after the release date.
