Short Life - Replacing fixtures
I have had to buy several of these bulbs as I have 4 fixtures in my house that call for them. They do not last long at all. I do not have them on very long each day and I am lucky if I get a year out of each bulb. At almost 7 dollars each I spend more on these bulbs than any other light bulbs in my house by far. The light output is ok but not enough to illuminate my bathroom to my liking. The combination of poor light output, high cost and frequent bulb replacement (No fun climbing up on the bathroom sink every year), I am looking into replacing the fixtures with something more modern that doesn't call for this type of bulb and satisfies my lighting needs. There are no options for these bulbs so you have no choice but to buy them. The type of bulb is the problem more than the brand or quality. This is why I think replacing the fixtures is the best option versus trying to find a better "quality" bulb.

get a bit brighter after a while
"Philips Lighting 38328-1 - PL-C 13W/841/4P/ALTO" is kind of pale-white when started. It does get a bit brighter after a while.

They were nice about getting my product replaced after it got delivered at my neighbor's front door and then destroyed by their bored dog.Got my replacement fast and I'm happy I got a replacement. I'd buy again.The bulb is flawless.

Disappointed with the "12,000 hours"!
The bulb we purchased in July 2021 has already quit. In order to last 12,000 hours as specified on the product packaging (not "up to") it would need to have been on for over 30 hours/day! You see what I'm saying here, right. The light is seldom on in a week and only for a brief period through suppertime. I am disappointed with the longevity (rather, lack of) this bulb. Otherwise, it has a great light temperature at 4100k and no other problems. I will purchase it again now since it has been reliable in terms of fit, packaging and condition when received. Thank You.
