I bought my WD drive in Australia, so the adapter needed to change or I needed a converter. This product was nearly as cheap as the converter, so I went with it. So far, no complaints. I do wish WD would put a simple two-prong plug at the end and move the "box" to the middle of the cord so as it would not take up so much space on the wall/outlet.

Have an old WD external hard drive w/tons of MP3 albums, no idea where the power adapter ended up.Found this adapter, looked up my model number. Boom!It arrived fast, works perfectly, definitely would buy it again if I find another old external hard drive!

I haven't had any issues with it so far powering a 2TB WD HDD after I lost the included power supply. However, I've only used it about a dozen or so times so I can't comment on longevity. It has worked flawlessly the times I have used it, and the price is reasonable.

It was implied that I needed this when I bought an external hard drive .I didn't need it after all . I'm certain it's a good piece of equipment .

It worked as expected for the external wd hard drive of which I needed a cable. The plug head is a bit bigger than the original and there is a bright blue light which may or may not be desired. Overall I was happy with this purchase.

Ordered more than one as I was going overseas for an extended time. Power supply works just as well as the original.
