Lovebirds (Animal Planet Pet Care Library) Hardcover – January 1, 2007

I was new to keeping Lovebirds and this book explained everything that I needed to know.

Lot's of great pics. and great up to date information.It is quite a substantial book,I am still reading it,and I've had it for a week.I am very satisfied with this book and I think you will be too!

wish it had more about raising baby lovebirds but its a great starter up book

The first sentence in this book by Julie Mancini is "Welcome to the exciting and fun-filled world of lovebird ownership!" The book starts off with some great information about these entertaining little birds.The author explains the history of lovebirds - how they got their name - when they first became pets - the wild or normal colours and the newer colour mutations - and talks about the different lovebird species.I would recommend this book to new and potential lovebird owners, although experienced lovebird owners may also find useful advice as well.

Very disappointing, the conversion of the book in MOBI format clearly went wrong, every 2-3 pages when I tried to go on reading ("turn the page"), it would simply jump to another section of the book. Probably because the book was organized in "tables and boxes" more than in a continuous text divided in chapters. Still, AMAZON should not sell a book that cannot be adapted to the format of their own kindle!!

Excellent book for general bird care and info. I was hoping to find more info on breeding ( mostly how to prevent it).
