Best knee support I've found
71 years old. Knees have mild osteoarthritis and have had numerous operations including ACL repair. One repair is torn but I have a good endpoint. Went deep powder skiing at Wolf Creek this February and wrecked my knees: they were swollen, painful, immobile. After 3 months they are pretty good and I am mountain biking, hiking and rock climbing. However, they felt unstable and weak. I decided to try these even though they cost so much more (cheaper than surgery) and they have been astonishing. I can run (no sprints yet) do single leg work, ride, etc. with virtually no pain. Knees are getting better almost daily. Currently feel no real limitation in movement or mobility. Am continuing to add difficulty and challenge in workouts...I am able to stand one legged on an airex pad and do 45 degree squats.I have used numerous brands and types of supports over the years. These are by far the best knee braces/supports that I have ever used. So comfortable that I slept in them last night! No joke. These work.

Expensive but effective
Product has helped minimize pain of a slightly torn meniscus in left knee. Very comfertable to wear during heavy physical activity. Only complaint is I apply KT tape first and it is a bit challanging to put on over that. Other than that small issue and the price tag, it's an A+

Very good feel..
The only problem is trying to find the right size. I finally went to the Bauerfeind official site where they have directions on how to measure for size. Think it's definitely worth the buy.. Great support and no muffin knee bulge like the ones that have the knee opening.. If I had one issue, it would be the thickness.. not sure if it will fit under jeans or not.. just had knee surgery and with the swelling its a tad bit "fat." I do however think its the best knee brace I've had so far.

This is the best knee brace that I've worn
This is the best knee brace that I've worn. I use this brace during my lower body workouts, because I have bad knees and have had knee surgery in the past. They provide a great deal of support and you can feel the pressure without having too much tightness. My initial set has started to wear out, so I plan to purchase these again. I use them heavily and at least 5 times a week for an hour each time, so they have proven to be extremely durable for sports. This is part of a pair that I purchased for my father.

I have been using these knee supports for years and they are a virtual miracle. I can walk for hours with the support and for just minutes without it. The reason I buy a new one every few years is that it stretches out from being washed often because I use it every single day. I use the old ones if I am only walking or driving a short while and I use the new one when I need support all day. With this support I am able to keep a total knee replacement at bay - seriously.

Just Okay
2nd Update: After two years the knee brace wore out. It stretched. Originally, it was too tight. Now it slips down my knee. Have to constantly pull it up. This is a size 3. I also have a 3C and 4, but they are both too loose. Ironically, these braces initially run small, but after some time they stretch and get loose. I also have a custom-sized GenuTrain from Bauerfeind that I got through Hanger clinic. You have to get the custom made ones through a medical supply vendor. Supposedly, they are made to fit exactly for your knee. However, it was too tight behind the knee and a new one ordered was also too tight in the same place. These braces have sizing issues. Old review: Okay, but not as great as most reviewers state. I've been through a lot of knee braces. Have had two right knee surgeries for medial meniscus tears. Arthritis now causes pain. Tried various braces ordered by doctors for stability, pain and to reduce swelling. Finally bought this one when I didn't have luck with the others. At first it seems good. But it runs small. Suspecting that, I got a size up initially but eventually moved to a smaller size. And where the side spiral stays press on your leg, they cause pain on the outside of my knee. The pad around the knee cap seems like a good idea, but it isn't clear how to center it and how important that is. Moving the knee support lower on the leg eases the tight fit, but then the pad isn't centered. Given all of this, the brace is still better than other compression sleeves I have tried, which only give compression. This also gives some stability. Problem is getting a good fit. Plus customer service at Bauerfeind has been terrible to make this right.

The Best Knee Brace for My Needs
I've tried a lot of knee braces. For me, this one works best. Each person is different, so your requirements for a knee brace might be different than mine. I love the fabric, and the handy little grippers near the top help to keep it in place until I work up a sweat. These braces are a little pricier than some, but you get what you pay for.
