Chef-mate Country Sausage Gravy, Breakfast Sausage, Biscuits and Gravy, 6 lb 9 oz (#10 Can Bulk)

This may be the gravy they serve at the local Hardees. If not, it tastes pretty close. I bought this as a joke for my sister who had a few gravy making mishaps on the last few trips we had together. The size of the can alone is a conversation piece. It easily fed breakfast to our group of 12 people with some to spare. Everyone enjoyed it including myself. I wish it came in a smaller size, but storing the leftovers in containers as the other reviewers mentioned works for me. Highly recommend.

I first had this at a hotel in N Myrtle Beach SC.... the chef shared his secret with me. This is actually better than the gravy I grew up with in southern Missouri as a child..... highly recommend!

Our family loves biscuits and gravy meals...and not just for breakfasts! I read all the reviews before ordering and was surprised that this brand is the same used by many restaurants or dinners. The first time we ordered, the cans were dented pretty badly during shipping. This is a common complaint from customers but that would appear to be Amazon's error for lack of shipping material and not from Chef-Mate's quality of food so I cannot or won't reduce stars plus the cans were replaced with non-dented ones the following week.Now this #10 can is gigantic and per other reviewers, would spoil quickly. We resolved this by dividing the can upon opening into food storage bags that we then vacuum seal to freeze for later consumption using our chamber vacuum sealer from Avid Armor. No spoilage issues at all!!!Lastly and most importantly is the flavor! It takes just like Grandma would make on those weekend mornings to feed the crew. Add an egg and some juice and you have down-home comfort food that will leave you full for a while. The gravy is creamy and includes small pieces of sausage (even though I usually add a little extra when I reheat). Heating or reheating leftovers is a breeze, but I will agree that unless you are planning on using the whole can immediately, figure out another method of storage because it would be a shame to waste this yumminess!

Great Taste and have reordered several times

Made a great breakfast for dinner tonight. Put some over the Bisquick Cheddar Garlic biscuits. With some scrambled eggs and cheese. I personally don’t like sausage and gravy that much, I actually really like this brand. It has a lot of sausage but it doesn’t overpower the gravy. It’s just a nice mild gravy. My husband prefers a different brand. I just wish it would come in a smaller can. I split it up and am freezing half. Hope that will freeze fine. Guess we will find out.
