Great for vinyl records
Needing and wanting to try a new surfactant for my home mixture, I decided to spend a little more. I've read and heard a lot over the years about the Triton X-100 (also in Kodak PhotoFlo) and this has not disappointed in the first 20 or so records I've cleaned. My vinyl seems shinier and it seems to have done a better inner groove cleaning, that makes the small ticks and crackles you hear. A lot of that is imbedded dust and dirt particles that every time your stylus hits one, makes a pop. I do use this in an ultrasonic cleaner with 1.2 gallons of distilled water, 16 oz. 91% isopropyl alcohol, and 2 cap fulls of the Triton. Allow the water to heat to around 35-38 Celsius before adding the Triton because of its thickness. It does mix easily with warm water. You will want to run the cleaner for about 15 minutes to burn off any gases the mixture dispells. I run new records for 15 minutes and used for 30. They will come out sounding new if dirt, oil, grime, residue or finger prints are your only concern. Of course, it doesn't remove damaged grooves, scratches, swirl marks or paper scuffs. The pictures I attached are of my beloved, Japan pressing of The Eagles "Hotel California" after the deep 30 minute cleaning. Also, I did not do a post-rinse and it seems to have left no residue behind. This 1.06 pint bottle should last for several 1000 records, with an expiration date of 3 years. They do not state this on the bottle and there are no manufactured dates listed, but enough reading on the interwebs has led me to this date. This chemical, and all cleaning products should be kept out of children's reach!Update: I have started doing a post rinse with straight distilled water in a spray bottle and they look and sound even better. This product is a must have for vinyl enthusiast.

Great for use in cleaning vinyl records (audio albums, LPs, whatever you call them....LOL).
I'm using this in small amounts to make vinyl record cleaning solution. The Surfactant breaks the surface tension of water, allowing it and the other cleaning chemicals I mix to get down deep into the grooves to REALLY clean the record well. You can find good recipes on YouTube videos, some use Isopropyl Alcohol while others do not, so you can choose whatever you feel comfortable in using.Do be aware that you might want to use latex gloves and safety glasses while creating any home brew record cleaning solution as this stuff can be a bit irritating to skin....nothing crazy, but why take the chance?Anyway, highly recommended for creating vinyl record cleaning solution that you plan on using a vacuum tool like the Vinyl Vac to clean your records. Look on YouTube for a link to a guy at DiscRewind and find his video. For just around $100 you can create a cleaning system rivalling that of some priced $500 to $1000 and have $900 bucks left for purchasing more records.

Usando la maquina ultrasonica
The media could not be loaded.

No product labeling or information (update)
I'm guessing the product works because of the other favorable reviews, however what I received was in a plain box with only the manufacturers name on it, nothing to indicate the product inside. Second, and most important, the chemical packed inside had nothing to describe what it was. Could be what I needed or something completely different. With chemicals, you just can't take anything for granted.Edit: I did order a replacement and the product came properly labeled. This was purchased to use in an ultrasonic cleaner for vinyl/lp records as an alternative to DOW's Tergitol surfactant. It worked great in that application and my records sound like new again. I've updated my rating to reflect this but not a full 5 stars because my first order was received without any product labeling.
