Love this gesso
Love this gesso! Can be used in the traditional way, but is thick enough to create great texture on my mixed media pieces.

Tiny!!!
I've never seen a gesso can so small. I'm a metric person so it was an easy mistake. Just make sure you to check on size. I'm attaching a picture of the 4oz can.Otherwise, it has nice (dense) consistency. I might even thin it down a bit.Package arrived on time and in good condition.

thick
much thicker than gesso I have used before, meaning that for such a small pot you can't get too much use.

Good for a unique look to projects.
I purchased this product and use it as a primer to seal and also add an deco look/touch to my projects. I use it with stencils and sometimes free handed when I'm trying to create a special look. I love the product. It is flexible and smooth and covers well. It dries fast and has a non-shiny finish more matted. Works really nice for a shabby chic look. Very happy with my purchase.....also, a little goes a long way.

Different...
The first one they sent was exploded all over everything in the box, but the second one they sent COULDN'T explode: it was incredibly thick, much thicker than toothpaste even. You could hold the jar upside down with the cap off and violently shake it, and not a bit of gesso would come out. I've never seen gesso this thick. It looks like they reuse the containers that exploded in the mail and got sent back by filling them with ultra thick formula because the container they sent me the second time had chunks of dried gesso on the outside of it. Not what I expected and not particularly useful since to spread it with a brush would use almost all of the gesso in the container cuz it's so thick, but it can be spread with a old credit card card/palette knife. I guess I'll just keep it.
