I bought this almost ten month ago and just assembled it, I shouldn't have worried it only took me less than an hour to put together. It's a great design, looks great in my daughter's room and I'm thinking of getting another one for her to use as a dresser with storage cubes and maybe even one for myself. I would definitely recommend voltu, very good value and parts are reliable, I've built other lower priced furniture that ended up breaking from pressure but this was so easy to assemble and no issues with the wood.

We already have one Woltu cube bookcase and it was the easiest piece of flatpack furniture we have ever assembled. I ordered two more for my study and assembled them alone in about half an hour each. I'm 70, short, averagely fit and not a great DIYer, so I think anyone could do this. The instructions are very clear, the parts easy to sort out and well labelled. and the finished product is sturdy enough to carry all the books and magazines I needed to find space for. The back of the unit impressed me. Most hardboard backs are slotted in to grooves, or nailed on with small tacks, so they may fit around the edges of the unit but they sag at the backs of shelves. They can also be difficult to fit neatly. In this case there were predrilled screw holes to screw the backs securely in place, with screws in the back of each shelf segment to prevent it sagging away from the shelf. Very easy to do and produces a much better finish. I have two negative comments. The bottom glides supplied are too flimsy to be much use; I bought some inexpensive but solid plastic glides instead. The paper circles supplied to cover the visible screw heads are a waste of time, they fall off or sag into the screw holes. This is easily fixed with Sugru or filler if you wish. Or you can just leave the screws showing, as I did. Woltu's service was excellent. Delivery was ahead of the stated date. The items were very well packed. There was quite a bit of polystyrene in the packaging, but I use it for insulation in garden projects so it won't go to landfill. The outer cardboard packaging can be recycled. One of the packages had a part missing and an incorrect extra part in its place, but the replacement was delivered within 48 hours of my notifying Woltu through Amazon. Overall I'm extremely happy with these bookcases. They are very good value for the price, they're easy to build, the delivery charge was relatively modest compared with, say, IKEA, and delivery was fast.

The components are precisely made, which makes assembly easy. Using a cordless driver (with care not to set the torque too high) these shelves went together quickly, though you do have to take care to get the central division the right way round. I found only one tiny blemish in four units, so insignificant that I quickly forgot where it was. The boards seem rather thin at 12mm for bearing much weight. However, the spans are short and the finished assembly seems quite rigid. Thicker boards would make for more weight to carry up the stairs, and I found one pack quite heavy to move even with this thin material. All that said, if these shelves were used for heavy books I would expect them to start sagging. I didn't use any of the fittings supplied for fixing the cabinets to the wall; they didn't look very convincing, though they may be fine. I devised my own method for linking the cabinets and fixing which worked out quite well. Finally, on the appearance. I'm no fan of foil-wrapped chipboard and don't find the finish of these very attractive, but they look reasonably inoffensive. Tastes differ, of course.

You definitely get what you pay for with this shelving unit, but for price it’s great! It’s only MDF with a wood effect cover but it’s sturdy, not too heavy and relatively easy to put together (I managed it alone in hour at 7 months pregnant!). The package had all the right parts and all of the screws lined up fine. Would recommend if you’re on a budget.

I already had the WOLTU L-shaped desk and thought purchasing a bookcase from WOLTU would help with similar 'look' and colour. I was very impressed. The flat pack pieces of the bookcase were sturdy and robust. I am no DIY person but this was very easy to build. You are provided an allen key but need a small screwdriver to complete. As I am not securing to a wall I am leaving positioned with two shelving levels (2 x 3) and not three (3 x 2). It holds plenty paperbacks and matches the office desk nicely. Good purchase!

Absolutely awful, do not buy!! I wasted my money on this, the top half is too big for the bottom half an will not connect to it, the screws cracked the wood when they went in, I can't seem to contact the customer service to get a refund so this was an absolute waste of time effort and money, maybe I just got unlucky but I can't use it now. If I could get through to the company I would like a refund!!!
