It has a very tight fit onto the hack spine...had to hammer it on. But...it is has a very loose fit over the handle; I had to make a plastic bushing (out of plastic sink drain plumbing, I think) to create a snug fit. If one gets sun damaged (jack is hood mounted) I have a backup.The rubber is fairly stiff but pliable enough to go on/off relatively easily.
