A great drive at a very reasonable price
A great drive at a very reasonable price. The drive arrived quickly and works as expected. It seems like the sellers have resolved the packaging issues that other people have faced, as my drive arrived securely packaged, and the drive was not damaged.

Quarterhorse of the computer world.
WD Caviar blue is one of the most generic yet reliable internal hard disks available. It is so common, pretty much any computer that is compatible to its' specs already has all of its' bios firmware and driver software pre-installed. For me, as usual, it was simply plug and play. The smaller versions, below 1TB, are pretty much going away even though they're great as workstation and internal backup drives.

purchased back in June 2014, and well came as described and in working condition, still works to this date as well for a Q-see surveillance DVR.

Partitions Corrupt Themselves
Received Drive about 7 July 2020. Installed the drive in my computer and loaded an OS. After a few weeks, corrupted partitions showed up. Cleaned the disk and installed the system again. Same thing. Corrupted partitions again. Run disk tests both times. Analysis showed the errors were not repairable. This is not the first drive put into this computer. Other drives worked as long as they are installed -- several years. Not the computer. An old drive is going back in.

Worth the price!
Solid hd put in business computer haven't heard anything from them so all is good. The key is this is 7200 rpm if you have to use a HD I stead of and hdd you want this or 10.000 rpm.
