Amazing Color Addition!
We recently tried out the Party Pool color additive for our swimming pool, and it was a fantastic experience! The blue color it gave to our pool was vibrant and added a fun, festive touch to our backyard party.A quick tip: make sure to follow the directions and mix it with water before adding it to your pool. We did try adding it directly without mixing first, and while it worked, it left a film on the top of the water. Mixing it beforehand ensures an even, beautiful color without any residue.Overall, we’re thrilled with the results and will definitely be using this product again for our future pool parties! The first photo is when we added it to the water and the second photo is approximately an hour later.

Such a cool effect
I am thrilled with this. Our pool could really stand to be refinished, but I have 2 other big projects that need to happen first. This colorant makes the pool look so amazing - it looks like the pool water at a resort - a beautiful shade of aqua blue. We waited an hour before going in, and there was zero staining of the pool surround or of our skin. We will probably save it for when we have people over, but for $4 a “serving” the effect is totally worth it. I’m just sitting here staring at it and smiling.

Good product for a day in the pool
Used this product for our 4th of July, and it turned out to be a great addition. The product did enhance the color of our pool, making it bluer,. Application was straightforward, and I didn't experience any issues with the dye staining the pool like others stated. However, there was a slight greenish tint along with the blue, which was strange, but it didnt overpower the blue tone. Still recommend for an occassion like 4th of July!

Awesome product for pool
It has been raining nonstop where I live for months and months which leads to a nasty looking pool no matter how much I work on it. This product has come in very handy for at least making the pool look blue even when it's less than perfect. A huge helper if you are having company over and you want your pool to at least appear nice. Lasts a long time and a little goes a long way. This is my 4th time buying this product. Highly recommend

Looks cool, but it stains!
The blue lagoon look was really pretty and everyone loved it, but it did stain the tile and some of our bathing suits. Going to be a lot of scrubbing to get it off the tile!

The blue color was great but the pool turned green with algae a few days later
Used before on my pool a party. The color lasted about 24 hrs. The color was great. Before putting the dye in, I checked the pH, alkalinity, and chlorine levels. Everything was within their acceptable range.A few days after the dye had dissipated, the pool started turning green with algae. I shocked it. The shock didn't work, which was strange because it wasn't even extremely green at that point. I checked the pH levels, they were off the chart (above 8, which is as far as my testing kit goes), the water was very basic (high pH). When pH is high, chlorine no longer works, which is why the algae was still growing after shocking the pool. The pool is extremely green now. I increased the alkalinity a bit (to make the pH more stable). I've been trying to lower the pH close to 7 so that the superchlorination (shock) can be more effective. The problem with a very green pool is that all that algae causes the pH to climb back up, which means I keep having to add some "pH down" to control the pH and keep it at an acceptable level for the chlorine to do its thing. The green is now lightening, but the pool water is still very green :( Once I get rid of the algae, I'll have to raise the pH back up to normal levels before using the pool. I think muriatic acid might have done a better job at lowering the pH, but I prefer not to keep that stuff around given that I have little kids around.A 4 days later, the algae is gone, but the water is extremely cloudy with dead algae. I now have to let the pool filter do its thing and mechanically remove all the dead algae. I'm probably in for a few more days before we use the pool again. Shortly after, the pool started turning green again :( The entire time, I noticed that the pressure in the filter was more than double what it used to be. I assumed that it was catching the algae and the debris was My guess is that the zeolite in the filter (which I use instead of sand and which does a fantastic job) is clumping. In the reviews, someone mentioned that they had to empty their sand and thoroughly clean it after using this dye. I hope I don't have to do this my zeolite is fairly new. This is way more than I bargained for.I've never experienced anything like this before. I think the dye did something that seriously messed up the pH level, causing the algae bloom. Since this started, I've backwashed the pool daily, the first 3 days of backwashing, the water initially came out bright blue (mind you, the blue had been gone from the pool days ago). I would let it backwash until it was clear, but the next day, when I backwashed, it was initially blue again. I don't get it.I'm not planning to use this product again. I suggest you be careful.

Blue Waters
So EZ to use. I suggest using a small bucket with water in it , add the Party Pool coloring then pour into the the pool or fountain. We use it in our backyard fountain and it truly adds a nice color to it, however the color only lasts a few days before it returns to clear water. I have also noticed a blue residue along side the rocks at water level. Not a big deal for us.
