Easy enough to get to 90' corners, a couple of staples in the joints or even a bit of glue and one is set!If stretching the canvas right/enough I don't se how one can can find the 'beveled edge' to be an issue, they are there just to make sure the bars doesn't leave an imprint or show through the canvas.. Putting them together was was simple. They are strong and worked well under my canvas. I am absolutely delighted! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Worked well, with slight modification *by G***O on Reviewed in the United States on February 27, 2019* This was my first time stretching a canvas, but it ended well. I was a little surprised that the bars had beveled edges on both sides, so there was no difference between front and back. I was expecting a flat back, but I'm not sure it really matters. They fit together very snugly, and were easy to square up. I used a door frame to help get them square. The outside edges were very sharp and that made it difficult to stretch the canvas over them (because it caught on the sharp edges), so I sanded them down slightly and then I was able to get a nice tight stretch. It did take me 2 tries to get it tight enough. After 3 coats of gesso on the canvas and now being almost finished with the painting, it still looks good. I used these bars because I wanted a non-standard size (16x24 inches), not available in pre-stretched canvases.
