I have used these in the desserts of Iraq (rock, sand and mud), in the fields of Kansas (clay and sandy soil) and in the Mountains of California (Gravel and Rock). They work perfectly each and every time.Their thin profile lets them get into spots where other stakes would not be able to. They act like a nail through wood, and because of their strength you will be hard pressed to find a situation where these fail through breaking or bending. Titanium is very light weight and has an natural oxidized protective layer which prevents these from degrading due to weather or use. Just wash them and let them dry, that's all the maintenance they need.Highly recommended.

Light and strong, the thin diameter stakes make it easy to push into ground. I took my first pack of six camping, then came home and ordered six more.

I got a pack of these to replace the aluminum stakes that come with the Kelty Grand Mesa 2, which for anyone who has one, knows the stakes are really terrible. These do the job, they are very lightweight, very stiff, and a good value. They could stand to be a touch longer, but they get the job done in rocky soils.

Exactly what I needed.

I have used these a couple times for some light weight tarp camping where I make tarp lean-to shelters. They hold up very nicely and prevent me from having to hunt for twigs to stake with. Very easy to push into the ground.

I love these stakes...what they lack in holding power they more than make up for in durability and weight. I am hard on my gear...and these stakes have stood up to everything I have dished out. I would not use the stakes for a ridge-line...but the little devils have held the corners of my 10x10 tarp snug to the ground in some terrible windstorms in the Ozarks. If you like to carry a few extra stakes to give your tarp system greater flexibility...then do yourself a favor and buy a set of these stakes...you'll never notice the extra ounce!

Very lightweight and holds tarps, tents, and other things just as well as any other stake out there.
